NDT Operator and NDT Engineer for Abu Dhabi, UAE

NDT Operator 

Our client, a Leading Steel Pipe Production Company based in Abu Dhabi, is looking forward to recruit NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Operator, who has experience in below roles and responsibilities.

Operate, adjust and check the automatic and/or manual NDT,VT and DT equipment 
Perform NDT correctly at the designated procedure, calibration and frequency according to the NDT instruction
Evaluate the indications correctly according to the criteria clarified in the NDT instruction
After evaluating, report all the testing results to the designated on-line system and the persons concerned 
Preserve the standard test blocks in good condition
Conduct VT(Visual test) and DT(Dimensional test) correctly according to the instruction
Change tools, parts, devices, position and so on according to pipe size 
Operate EOT (Electric Overhead Travel Crane), if necessary
Identify nonconformity pipe according to the instruction 
Assist maintenance department in case of equipment trouble and cooperate with them for preventive actions
Assist to find a cause of the defects to keep good pipe quality 
Write and issue a daily report to the persons concerned
Implement sorting, organizing, cleaning, sanitizing and disciplining in the working place
Obey safety rules and propose safety measures voluntarily
Communicate well with other operators 

Minimum Requirements
Three years science or diploma holder in engineering 
ISO 9712 Level 2 of UT or RT or MT
EOT (Electric Overhead Travel Crane) License is considered as a plus
Minimum 5 years of NDT experience in a LSAW pipe mill or a Spiral pipe mill or similar experience.
Good understanding of SAW (Sub merged arc welding) and defects of welding
Good understanding of not only NDT requirements of Standards (API 5L, API 2B, AWS, ISO3183, DNV OS-101), but also those of the Customers specifications (Shell spec., Total spec., Aramco spec. etc.)
5 years of Visual test and/or Dimensional test experience in a LSAW pipe mill or a Spiral pipe mill or similar experience is preferable
Correctly interpreting ability for the various kinds of NDT instructions
Good Communication skills in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening comprehension ability)

NDT Engineer

Our client, a leading Steel Pipe Production Company based in Abu Dhabi, is looking forward to recruit NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Engineer, who has experience in below roles and responsibilities.

Prepare and approve the NDT procedure specifications (instructions) and issue them to the NDT operators
Plan, revise and establish the NDT internal standards
Approve or disapprove each NDT, VT and DT operators mill qualification according to the internal mill operators qualification standard
Make an education and training plan for NDT, VT and DT operators and implement it accordingly 
Make a purchase plan for the various kinds of working materials according to the pipe production schedule considering delivery time.
Review the NDT, VT and DT operators evaluation of NDT indications and the results of DT & VT accordingly
Acquire a third partys verification and approval for the NDT and DT equipment or devices
Analyze the cause of nonconformities and take preventive actions
Explain the procedure to a third partys inspector
Arrange for the NDT operators to sustain their ISO 9712 License as well as mill qualification
Assist in using or developing new NDT or DT technology 
Plan a renewal of each equipment
Arrange for each VT and each DT operators to sustain their mill qualification
Instruct the persons concerned to purchase or make a proper calibration block 
Check the storage conditions of each calibration block 
Review each standard (API 5L, API 2B, AWS, ISO3153, DNV OS-101) whenever it is revised

Minimum Requirements
Four (4) years technical or engineering degree or three year science degree
ISO 9712 Level 3 of UT, RT and MT
Minimum 5 years of NDT experience in a LSAW pipe mill or a Spiral pipe mill or similar experience.

As Level 3 of NDT in LSAW pipe mill, not only high interpreting ability of each pipe standard and customers specification, but also high planning ability to prepare most effective NDT procedures and train operators.
Good Communication skills in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening comprehension ability)
