Database Administrator for Fiji

Position: Database Administrator SQL Server for ERP Application

Location : Fiji

Job Description: 

• Install and configure new SQL Servers.
• Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities.
• Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
• Test backups to ensure we can meet the business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
• When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes.
• Must have experience in managing large database
• Must be able to work abroad.
• Must possess knowledge and experience in financial management and accounting.

Qualification: 

• BE / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (IT) or Any IT Graduate

Certification: 

• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator

Skills Required: 

• Must have experience on SQL Server 2008 and above
• Good knowledge of MYSQL architecture
• Good exposure on Installation, configuration of database servers and instance tuning.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and performance monitoring SQL Server Database server
• Expertise in T-SQL and writing efficient and highly performing SQL Statements.
• Expertise in SQL Server Internals, wait events, profiler, windows events, etc.
• Knowledge on MYSQL replication Master-Master and Master slave and troubleshooting
• Must have good knowledge of MYSQL database up-gradation
• Experience in any ERP Functional Support (Infor LN preferred)
