Senior Accountant for Tanzania

One of the Major Importers, Distributors for Automotive related products, Chemicals, Lubricants, Paper, etc. in Tanzania is looking for Senior Accountant to head its finance Department.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with established schedule.
• Taxation and Business Advisory
• Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations bank, client, supplier & intercompany accounts.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues. 
• Assisting in management of high profile client base by effective client liaison and business development. 
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place.
• Mentoring, guiding and leading junior staff. 
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial & tax reporting.
• Establish & maintain strong relationships with bank executives, auditors & local tax revenue department officials so as to identify their needs & seek full range of business solutions. 
Required Qualifications & Skill Set:
• Preferably a CA 
• 10+ years experience in Accounting.
• Hands on knowledge of bank related issues, taxation, overall management operations etc. 
• Hands on thorough experience on Tally accounting software.
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence- ability to motivate team.

• Age: 35-45 years of age.
• Work experience in African Continent an added advantage.
• High level of integrity and dependability.
• Strong sense of urgency and result oriented
