Shift Operator for Seychelles

Qualifications & Experience

Certificate/Diploma Mechanical/Electrical Engineering 
Trade Test in Electromechanical Disciplines
Ability to read and write basic English
Good working knowledge of operations of power stations, particularly plants operating on heavy fuels
Must have at least 2 years experience in the operations and maintenance of diesel power stations

Duties and Responsibilities

Make rounds and monitor equipment to ensure high standard of safety in and around equipment enclosure
Check monitors, gauges, dials, levels or other indicators to ensure that equipment are working properly
Check and maintain correct operations items in running machinery (oil, fuel)
Adjusts and control switches on equipment as required
Report any abnormalities and defects to the shift Supervisor
Collect, log and examine equipment operational data and report abnormalities
Keep machinery and environment clean and tidy
Maybe required to attend to emergency call-out in case of faults
Follow in house training as and when required
Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
