- a) Educational Qualification: Diploma/Apprenticeship Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
b) Experience:
Minimum five (05) years experience in operation and maintenance support including preventive and corrective maintenance. They shall be skilled in the maintenance and overhaul of pumps, compressors, diesel engines, static equipment such as vessels and exchangers. They should be able to work with minimum of direct supervision. Capable of quickly diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, repairing and reporting them.
Mechanics shall be familiar with plant isolation procedures, lock-out and tagging procedures and plant permit to work procedures. Staff selected for this position shall have good spoken, written and reading skills in English.
1. Introduction:
QP conducts exploration, development and production operations at Offshore Qatar on production stations-PS2, PS3 & PS4. Crude oil is transported via pipelines to the crude oil terminal situated on Island known as Halul Island.
The Work area in this contract will be located in Halul Island (offshore) which is approximately 81 km (40min) away from Doha, by helicopter.
Contract period would be for 5 yrs.
2. Contract Objective:
The objective of this CONTRACT is the Provision of Manpower by Contractor for Operation and Maintencae of the Desalination Plant for Production of Potable water to the standards of the World Health Organization.
The Desalination Plant consists of four desalination units operating on the Reverse-Osmosis (RO) process with a normal production potable water (600 m3/day for each unit) and two potable water storage tanks of 2500 m3 storage capacity each.
3. Requirement:
Candidate shall be qualified, with proven expertise and track record of a minimum of 5 years in providing similar services for this type of Facility or similar facilities i.e. Desalination plants, petrochemical plants and the like.
Candidate shall be based in Halul Island, and shall be competent, skilled and familiar with operation and maintenance of the facility.
Candidate shall be able to carry out all required tasks with minimum supervision, and be able to communicate effectively in English.
Candidate shall work under the direction of QP Representative.
NOTE: Minimum 5 yrs Experience in Operation & Maintenance of RO Plant is Mandatory.
Working Hours:
Work would be on 12 hrs shift, out of which 8 hrs would be normal hours and additional 4 hrs would be overtime @ 1.25 times standard hourly rate. For Friday & Holidays, all hours worked would be @ 1.5 times Standard hourly rate.
After Every 90 days work cycle in Halul, there will be 7 days off cycle period (Rest Day) in Doha.
Accommodation, Transport & Messing:
Company will provide free food, Accommodation and Transport to the candidate in Halul & Doha.
Other Requirements:
Age limit should be preferably between 22-45 YRS
Salary Structure would be as per table below:
