Associate Professor for Sharda University, Uzbekistan

Largest educational group in North India with 3 Engineering colleges, 2 MCA and 1 MBA College with total student strength is more than 4000. Having 8 programs in BTech, MBA and MCA accredited by National Board of Accreditation; rest of the programs are about to get accredited. 3 campuses aggregating 100 acres, built up area more than 12 lac sq. ft; each campus is self sufficient with all modern amenities for a conducive campus life

In order to establish superior educational programs, Sharda University Uzbekistan is looking for bright candidates, preferably foreign nationals, who will teach courses in Master of Arts in TESL (eight to ten courses each year), in addition to providing support with curriculum localization and professional development for other faculty. 

Tentative list of courses to teach:
English conversation
English reading
English writing
Business English

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree with Masters in TESL/TEFL or Applied Linguistics in a related field, such as Applied Linguistics, Curriculum and Instruction, or Second Language Studies.

Preference will be given to applicants who have the following:
• a minimum of eight years of experience teaching ESL/EFL/ESOL;
• a minimum of two years of graduate teaching experience;
• documented good teaching;
• an ability to combine theory and practice in classroom instruction;
• experience working in an EFL context and/or teacher education for EFL instructors;
• broad experience in the following areas as demonstrated by advanced graduate course work, teaching experience, conference presentations, and/or publications: second language acquisition, curriculum design, ESOL methods, language testing, language planning and policy, culture and pragmatics, English for Academic Purposes, and English for Specific

Purposes;
• experience providing professional development and/or running workshops for teachers;
• experience with curriculum development for graduate courses and for professional development;
• fluency in two languages;
• experience using LMSs to enhance face-to-face instruction;
• familiarity with mobile devices and apps to enhance classroom instruction; and
• documented service to professional organizations and professional contributions to the field.
