Software Integration Specialist for Ingenious Network FZC, UAE

Role Summary:

Work as a Scrum team member responsible for designing and implementing APM solutions that integrate with various GE software components.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:
• Work with Delivery Manager and COE to understand product requirements & vision.
• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required
timelines and quality standards.
• Write scripts and develop database migration Interfaces to connect external data sources
• Install / configure / integrate Internal Products and 3rd parties Software to delivers desired
functionalities using the selected technologies/Products for each project.
• Connect online (real-time) data sources from different industrial protocols (OPC-DA, OPC-UA,
OSI-PI, MQTT, Mode Bus, IEC 101, IEC104)
• Be responsible for providing technical expertise and defining, developing, and evolving software
to deliver a high-quality and secure software systems using latest software technologies.
• Work with subject matter experts for successful transfer and implementation of complex
domain knowledge.
• Apply methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability,
Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
A minimum 7 years of professional experience.

Desired Characteristics:

• Strong understanding of computing + network + storage to meet business application system qualities
• Good experience on SQL Database such as Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
• Strong knowledge of Software Solution integration and deployment
• good understanding of Cloud technologies (Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes)
• Data center management and Virtualization (VMWare / ESXi / Hyper-V).
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc)
• Hands-on experience in Saas / PaaS services
• Hands-on experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS
• Experience with data migration and Scripting
• Familiar with Networks, LAN/vLAN, DMZ, IPsec VPN and their supported hardware: Switches,
  Router, Firewalls
• Familiar with OS Administration: Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO...
• Experience with Linux operating systems internals and administration (e.g., filesystems, system calls) and networking (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, network topologies and hardware, SDN)
• Familiar with Backup Management Systems, Data Archiving and external Storage (Symantec /Veeam Backups)
