Job Description:
You will be assigned the position of Site Safety Co-ordinator. In this position you will have key responsibilities in the following areas:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Onsite Safety :
- To oversee and direct all safety policies in relation to the site workmen safety program.
- To Develop and administer programs that educate workmen on, and ensure compliance with, all regulations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other local government agencies.
- Inspections and resolution when new equipment, processes are introduced or when new hazards are discovered and that the corrective procedures are implemented.
- Perform regular jobsite inspections of all crews in order to identify any unsafe work practices and unsafe conditions, documenting the visits and forwarding findings to various administrative and management personnel.
- Prepare and implement a site specific safety plan.
- Ensure use of appropriate personal protection equipment, safe working practices, installation of recommended fire services on the construction site.
- Enforce company safety policies on site and apply adequate disciplinary action in case of any violation of safety procedures
You will have to travel to various sites in Asia, Africa for site safety supervision and implementation whenever necessary.
- Safety Policies and Procedures :
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all laws surrounding construction safety, develops and implements and continuously update policies, procedures and other company-wide safety standards.
- Maintain site safety records and registers.
- Investigations :
- Following incidents of construction-related accidents, performs a thorough investigation to ensure that all required policies were followed.
Preference
- Qualified Safety Certification is essential.
- Position requires working experience of 5 7 years.
- Experience working multinational clients •
- Experience with large project construction site
