Mingtiandi is Asias best-known real estate news and information website and we are looking for an experienced business journalist to join our editorial team.


Our breaking updates on the regions property markets are followed by industry leaders from Morgan Stanley, Blackstone, and Goldman Sachs, and we are looking for an associate editor that can fulfill our audiences demanding standards.


After seeing our readership grow by 27 percent in 2021 and having posted our tenth straight year of profitable operation, Mingtiandi is expanding its award-winning coverage, and we are recruiting business news professionals to expand on our reputation as the source that the New York Times, FT and Wall Street Journal turn to for the inside story on Asian real estate.



Responsibilities

  • Assisting the managing editor in setting editorial direction and vetting story ideas
  • Editing the work of staff writers to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Interviewing top-level real estate investors and developers to cover new projects and funds
  • Researching, writing and editing articles on Asias real estate industry
  • Contributing ideas for new reports and features on the website


Qualifications

  • At least three years previous professional experience as a business journalist is required, preferably with a fast-paced news organisation
  • Detailed understanding of Asian economies and markets is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and finance is preferred
  • Professional-level English writing ability is required
  • Candidates may work remotely initially, but our preference is to have team members working in our Bangkok office

Compensation will be in line with the background and demonstrated abilities of the candidate
