Rak Media Group is a one stop Multimedia house in South Sudan, with a high-tech Printing press unit, Radio, advertising agency & Newspaper. As part of our expansion strategy, we seek to recruit an energetic passionate & self-motivated Individual to execute strategy as a Creative Agency Manager 


Commercial Manager


Roles and Responsibilities


1. Proactively contributing to the strategic work of the Business, coaching and mentoring the team to drive capability and development

2. Providing commercial support to the Media House, including cost and margin analysis, cost increase analysis, negotiations, and implementation of cost improvement projects

3. Drive process improvements to support the efficiency and growth of the business, including software options, Printing Press automation, internal processes and ongoing training of the team

4. Work Closely with the procurement team oversee all stock management reporting and inventory control

5. Media House cost and variance reporting, reviewing product range profitability, targeting low margin categories and lines and making recommendations that will target optimum Return on Revenue.

6. Critically reviewing new business, current holdings and aged / obsolete categories, & provide recommendations to ensure that inventory levels are adequately maintained

7. Any other relevant task

Creative Advertising Agency Manager


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce creative thought leadership in the creation of high-quality broadcast and print, as well as experiential, environmental, and digital design
  • Develop, create and launch brands
  • Champion the revenue growth of the agency.
  • Work with Account Managers to ensure each project, in accordance with briefing, are clearly outlined and estimated.
  • Review all art creation
  • Come up with creative thinking during brainstorming sessions, creative wall reviews, and project kick-off meetings
  • Guide, influence, and motivate others with thought-provoking ideas and recommendations.
  • Crack new ideas for creative team management and processes

Head of Radio



Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and coordinate the continuous, daily operations of the radio station, ensuring compliance with broadcast standards, policies & regulations.
  2. Maintain accurate schedules, records, discrepancy reports, and follow-through communications, and ensures that all on-air broadcast programming complies with the relevant rules and regulations.

3. Participate in the establishment, organization, & implementation of short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures of the radio station.

4. Monitor & evaluate radio program effectiveness and effects changes required for improvement.

5. Develop & implement systems to maintain records on station operations, equipment, and compliance activities & also prepare regular and ad-hoc reports.

6. Provide sound leadership, mentorship & coaching to all employees at the radio station

7. Champion a unique customer experience at the radio station with towards fulfilling its vision and mission.

8. Focus on championing and actualizing the sales and profitability targets of the radio station.

9. Act as the key contact person of the radio station at public functions as and when necessary, & engage with external stakeholders in the interest of the station.

10. Any other duties related to management of the station and its core business.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree or its equivalent in Business Administration or Mass Communication from a reputable institution of higher learning.
  • Four years hands on working experience in a radio station or media station, two of which should have been in a senior management position.
  • Familiarity with the Juba radio market is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of public radio principles, procedures, operations, and standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of radio communications facilities and distribution systems
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Knowledge of radio organizational structures, workflows, systems, and operating procedures

Garment Supervisor




Roles and Responsibilities


  • Analyze garment construction & Operation details collect sample for design to be done
  • Responsible for setting up the garment construction unit by setting proper structures & equipment, I e finishing departments, design section, Sewing room, etc
  • Assign daily production target to Sewing Machine Operators;
  • Responsible for Quality standards of all garments at the section; Inspects work for adherence to specifications.
  • Trains workers in assembly for new style; coaches, mentors and assigns them targets
  • Supervises coordinates activities of workers engaged in sewing, pressing, and inspecting in the stitching section
  • In charge of a team of sewing Machine Operators / Tailors
  • Notifies mechanic when machines malfunction.
  • Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules to meet client expectations and targets
  • Supervisor manages apparel production teams by making sure team members meet quotas, use equipment correctly and adhere to company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously when required but also collaboratively and effectively within and across teams.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years in Garment construction, directly managing a team of Tailors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong communication skills.

Press Supervisor



Roles and Responsibilities


The Press Supervisor at RAK MEDIA PRINTING PRESS plays an essential leadership role in the pressroom by coordinating safety, production, quality, and labor activities for all presses. This position has accountability for meeting the pressroom performance objectives and overseeing the efforts of the pressroom staff to ensure that RAK MEDIA PRINTING PRESS will deliver a high-quality product efficiently and resulting in customer satisfaction. Some of the primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review production schedules to plan labor requirements for relevant shift
  • Monitor production and waste performance and use independent judgment to make recommendations for improving production methods, quality and use of equipment to increase efficiencies
  • Directs departmental operations to ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor overall quality of the printed product by performing periodic inspections
  • Communicate with all necessary department and shift leads to ensure smooth workflow
  • Administer employee performance reviews, and provide regular performance feedback to staff
  • Meet with clients for press approvals


Desired Candidate Profile


  • At least 3 years supervisory/leadership experience including ability to train, develop and provide guidance to staff.
  • Hands on working in a busy Printing press as a printing Press supervisor a MUST
  • Experience working with 4 color, web offset printing
  • Experience with Commercial printing
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Working knowledge of print production process from start to finish
  • At least 3 years of experience as a press operator with the ability to demonstrate setup and operational experience of on-line and off-line auxiliary equipment
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to use typical email applications
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication




Post Press Supervisor




Roles and Responsibilities


  • Execution of Job orders received from the production manager.
  • Ensure availabilities of all raw materials to the appropriate work stations on time.
  • Ensure availabilities of all post press consumables (Chemicals, glue, raw materials etc)
  • Ensure safe return of the left over raw materials and consumables to raw materials store.
  • Achieve production targets as per job orders issued.
  • Achieve machine utilization and efficiency as per the targets
  • Ensure timesheets are filled 100% accurately
  • Ensure quality of work done within the operations is at international quality standards and the output as per customer agreed specification by Product/ process verification, Dimension verification, specs verification & Routine inspection
  • Ensure optimal process on wastages as per the SOP.
  • Ensure for the timely report of any break down or maintenance requirement to the Production Manager and insure to have the task completed within a
    shortest possible time span.
  • Plan, review and upgrade preventative maintenance schedule of all equipment in post press (binding)
  • Manage performance of the post press team &
  • Active member of internal audit team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Must have previous Post press Operations experience in a Busy Printing press
  • Must be proficient in all Post press production Processes
  • College diploma or equivalent desired
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory role required
  • Ability to manage the teams performance and make required reports
  • Basic Skills in Ms Tools including outlook, word & Excel

Screen Printing Supervisor



Roles and Responsibilities


  • Ensures that each machine has enough work staged at their proper location for the day.
  • Accountable for daily production metrics and operator performance.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all production reporting related to shift.
  • Responsible to communicate any production issues or delays to Production Manager.
  • Assists in production first run approvals. Ensures documentation and embellishments match and embellishments are correct in placement, size and color.
  • Conducts daily quality control audits to ensure SOPs are being followed routinely.
  • Assists employees in solving work related issues, providing employee guidance/direction, counsel and motivation.
  • Ensures equipment operators are running their machines effectively and efficiently, setting goals and expectations for desired production rate and daily quotas. Must meet and keep up with standard capacity goals. Ensures that needed prep-work is completed prior to production date (screens, inks and engineering documentation).
  • Maintains a productive open dialog with production employees.
  • Responsible for completion of daily production schedule.
  • Performs daily inspection of equipment to ensures equipment is operating properly, if not, must notify the engineer.
  • Ensures support teams (allocation, screen dept., ink dept.) have advanced prep-work completed prior to production date.
  • Ensures staff is properly trained to perform assigned tasks and understands the


Desired Candidate Profile


  • Must have previous Screen Print operations experience along with extensive knowledge of embellishment techniques and proper application.
  • Must be proficient in all Screen Print production processes (screen reclamation and prep, screen coating, screen imaging and developing, ink mixing and pantone matching, engineering sequences, press set up and operation, dryer settings and variables, QC and testing).
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory role required
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic skills in MS tools including Outlook, Word and Excel

Roles and Responsibilities


Leads the creative development and execution of RAK MEDIA GROUPs both interactive and print design in close collaboration with editors and production

Manages a team of creative in the execution of work

Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of web, print, and digital marketing collateral

Collaborate across departments in developing award-winning design

Bring a strategic lens to the creative process: understand market forces and how to capture attention and retain interest via design

Establishes brand-appropriate creative approaches: is constantly staying ahead of the market in terms of design layout, readability and is on the lookout for cutting-edge design techniques

Participates in production meetings, creative discussions, strategy discussion

Clearly articulates design decisions that are backed up with strategic supporting evidence, insight, and rationale

Communicates with various vendors (photographers, illustrators, production, editors etc) to coordinate the execution of print and digital deliverables

Supports new business pursuits supporting and participating in creative concepting, asset development, and presentation decks

Plays a critical role in advancing success as a creative and strategic partner to the readers and customers we serve


Desired Candidate Profile


  • 5-7 years of related experience with a focus on creative direction in media, agency, printing press or corporate setting
  • Experience working in media: understanding of production requirements for print and digital media
  • Comfortable overseeing production and budgets with a focus on due dates
  • Well-versed in creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understand offline and print
  • Proven experience with concept development
  • Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and appropriate design software systems. Previous experience working with any project management tool, a plus
