JOB TITLE : INTERFACE ENGINEER (ONE514)
FUNCTION : ENGINEERING (ONE5)
LOCATION : COAST
REPORTS TO : Contract Representative ODC/EMC (ONE51)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
To have the overall view of all design activities executed by the service contractors (EMC/ODC).
To actively encourage a culture of challenging the design standards and identify opportunities for improvements by working closely with contractors Engineering teams and Company CFDHs to ensure all updates and knowledge are captured.
Control the engineering hours, efficiency, productivity, non-productive time of the EMC/ODC engineering personnel.
Enhance Project delivery and communication between client and contractors and Improve communication channels between site, Company head office and Contractors head office.
COMPETENCY : QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED :
BSc in Any Engineering Discipline
Good design and engineering knowledge and Understanding of the role of Interface Engineer, multidisciplinary project and interface management experience (minimum 8 years)
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Change management, planning skills
Understanding of HSE
Enhance project delivery and communication between client and contractors
Must have a willingness to learn and expand new skills
Must be able to work independently, be challenged and to meet set goals and targets.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide interface management to a Multi-discipline project Engineering Team and investigate engineering delays to ongoing projects.
Challenge the scope of the work and constantly seek to improve effectiveness and efficiency of document control within the department
Ensure Change Control procedure are adopted in all design changes and ensuring logging of all design changes
Conduct regular audits and checks on the EMC/ODC engineering set-ups and monitor compliance to the contracts requirements.
Monitor the efficiency and productivity of all engineering disciplines personnel and advise improvements
Verify the monthly hours consumed by all design engineers and advise the non-productive time
Improve communication to effectively manage the interface and upfront agreement of all projects related KPIs and deliverables.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountable for :
To provide an efficient and effective service to the multi-discipline engineering team with available resources and to maintain/ improve established standard of service.
To work closely with project team towards achieving best management and performance of the EMC contracts.
Liaise with relevant discipline engineers to ensure those job orders are executed in accordance with the Contract and Company Standards.
