Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Education
Probably educated to at least degree level.
Experience
• Has in-depth knowledge in one of the IT Service areas delivered and/or supported.
• Has significant experience in an IT Service delivery and Support Role.
• Has developed knowledge of ITIL service delivery & support processes, and basic knowledge of project management methods and tools.
• Has a good knowledge of ITIL service delivery & support processes, and basic knowledge of project management methods and tools.
• Has demonstrated aptitude for IT Service Delivery & Support type work through practical experience in one or more IT Service Delivery & Support roles over several years.
Skills
• Is familiar with the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance and in service delivery.
• Has good technical understanding and the aptitude to remain up to date with Information Systems security and developments.
• Possesses a general understanding of the business applications of Information Systems.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of information security principles.
• Demonstrates a meticulous method of working and attention to detail. Has general awareness of all phases of the systems development life cycle. Is effective and persuasive in the presentation of local procedures, both orally and in writing.
• Has a good knowledge of at least one software platform and good knowledge of two or more system software products that are used by the organisation.
• Has a good understanding of the system interfaces.
• Has a clear understanding of the organisation's business processes.
• Displays a responsible attitude to following procedures, keeping records, and caring for equipment and other assets.
• Is familiar with IT hardware, software and operating procedures affecting own area of responsibility.
• Is aware of service level agreements and their significance and has a general understanding of the customer environment.
• Has obtained an understanding of the need for, and is conversant with, their own organisation's overall security policy. Fully understands their application to those IT activity areas which fall within any defined specific scope of activity.
