Hill International is seeking to employ HSE Engineer, with heavy construction experience, for one of its on-going projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualifications:
• (Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher) The Safety Engineer shall be a qualified Engineer with minimum of 8 years’ experience in safety works in similar Projects out of a minimum of 12 years overall experience. He should be aware of all ISO 14000 series requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct and / or Participate in COMPANY safety audits for CONTRACTOR and Sub CONTRACTOR
• Carry on risk assessment as directed by COMPANY senior safety engineer.
• Review the contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of Safety requirements and procedures and advise the Project Manager of any deficiency.
• Review and comment to the Project Manager, on site safety organizations and key personnel CV’s as submitted by the Contractors.
• Review Safety Procedures as submitted by the Contractors and ensure implementation is in compliance with Contract requirements.
• Review Inspection, Test, Plans as submitted by the Contractors and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Ensure all activities on site are in compliance with safety procedures in respect of the format signed off by Contractor’s Safety Officer.
• Ensure Contractor’s safety staff are adequate on site and report to the Project Manager in case of shortfall.
• Review Contractor’s safety records, documents to ensure major construction equipment is maintained regularly.
• Ensure Contractors safety training for site labourers is regularly maintained.
• Ensure Contractors labourers on site are following safety procedures and report to Project Manager in case of deficiency.
• Closely monitor site activities, on a daily basis, issuing non-compliance and submit reports to the Project Manager.
• Participate in weekly meetings and monthly executive meetings.
• Coordinating with COMPANY senior safety Engineer to ensure that HSE policy is implemented by Contractors.
• Participate with PMC staff in reviewing and assessing of Close Out Report as submitted by Contractor.
