Qualification :-Corporate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or equivalent. Registered Safety practitioner or equivalent qualification from the internationally recognized body approved by the employer.

    Required Experience:- At least 5 years experience in of Occupational Safety Management in an industrial environment. and minimum of 1 year experience in Sewage Water Industry
    Experience gained in overseas environment dealing with an expatriate labour force of various nationalities

    Role Description:- Developing and improving safe working practices on site in cooperation with other departments and more specifically the Operation and Maintenance departments
    Performs a variety of routine and non-routine administrative, technical, and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the environmental, health and safety
    programs.

    Responsibility & Authority:- Perform all tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of best H&S practices. Develop Health and Safety standards for Doha South and Industrial Area sites and related documentation, based on British and VW H&S Standards and in compliance with the Quality Management System. This includes Maintaining an updated list of the standards, regulations applicable to the operations of the Works Developing, reviewing and maintaining Health & Safety procedures Maintaining H&S records and documentation up-to-date. Develop, maintain and review a risk management for the Works with the management team. This includes Conducting risk assessment on regular basis and reporting the result to the Management. When necessary recommend improvements, changes Ensuring safety precautions are in place to remove, minimize or limit the risks
    Ensuring sites security and manage the Security Team Develop and maintain the employees safety awareness and competences. This includes: Communicating the Health and Safety Policy to the persons working on site Raising employees H&S awareness communicating on risks/hazards related to their work, H&S incident/accident and safe practices at work. Training employees against on-site H&S procedures and monitor the implementation.
    Control of and report on the safety practices on site. This includes Conducting Health and Safety inspections (work permit, provision and proper use of PPE, calibration and proper use of safety equipment, in use lifting equipment certificate...) Reporting H&S incidents, hazardous situations - when necessary recommend changes to procedures to prevent future occurrences. Reporting the H&S KPIs on regular basis Work in close relationship with the Managers to develop safe and efficient working practices. Perform other tasks related to his duties or the general management of the contract. Stop any activity if it violates the health and safety standards.

    Required Competences-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .Computer literate with ability to operate Microsoft Office. In depth knowledge of OHS/ EHS local and international Codes & Standards. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be a Team player.
