Habesha steel mills plc, has been established in mid 2007 to engage in the production and distribution of high quality reinforcement ribbed bars. The company had a production capacity of 36,000 ton of steel per annum and has expanded it's capacity to currently 120,000 tons per annum in a state-of-the-art facility to provide for it's customer's growing needs. The factory is located in the Oromiya Region, industrial town of Dukem, which is around 35 km in South-East of the capital city, Addis Ababa, at the total area of 65,663 square meters. The plant site being in Dukem is an ideal location for basic input source as well as for scrap merchants to supply their scrap at site. The other advantage of the plant site is that it is adjacent to the newly built Ethio-Djibouti railway line, which is useful for transportation of imported scrap, imported billets and possibly to export high strength rebar in the future as railway is the most efficient and cost effective means of bulk transport for any country.
Co-ordination with steel making and casting unit for direct rolling. Target should be 100 % utilization of hot billet.
Achieving targets set by the management with respect to following areas -
a. Production volume.
b. Product quality.
c. Section control by utilizing (-)ve tolerance.
d. Plant over all yield.
e. End cut control.
f. Variable cost/ton related to Power, Fuel, Manpower and Maintenance cost
g. Preparation and maintaining of Roll records and pass life.
Maintaining shift log book with delay and misroll details.
Area and location wise delay and misroll data sheet.
To ensure safety rules are followed in the plant. Stop all unsafe practice. Providing safety guards to prevent accident. Should follow standard house keeping.
Maintenance planning in consultation with Mechanical and Electrical in charges.
Plant performance report on Daily and monthly basis in MIS format.
Spares planning and inventory control.
Candidate should have minimum 10 years experience in production of TMT in continuous mill.
Should have good knowledge of rolling mills.
Must be ready to relocate to Ethiopia.
