Mechanical Engineer
This position is responsible to lead Field maintenance teams of Acid plants (SAP and PAP) by adopting systematic maintenance planning, analysing the results and making suitable changes to improve equipment availability and reduce plant down time / production loss within set targets. Ensures optimum utilisation of resources to minimize cost, compliance to safety, PSMS, other management systems,statutory regulations and achieve Business targets.
- Ensure all field maintenance jobs ( in SAP, PAP including Rock grinding ) are progressing as per schedule by field visit and resolving any constraints on material and resources.
- Asses PM schedules, CBM are yielding desired results in minimising equipment failures and make necessary changes in consultation with team members to limit down time below target Conducting root cause analysis of equipment break downs with cross functional teams and take corrective and preventive actions to avoid repetition of problem.
- Monitors the stock of spares of all critical equipment in stores / SAP and advise concerned team to raise the purchase requisition and follow up for procurement avoid delays in maintenance due their non availability in time.
- Ensures all team members comply with safety, IMS, PSMS, QMS, statutory regulations by periodic auditing and education, training
- Ensures participation of all team members in TQM, SGA, Six sigma, and other initiatives for self development and organisational improvement and achieve target set on these activities

This position is responsible for plant availability through preventive Instrumentation maintenance of the equipment, which reduces the breakdown time with scheduled condition monitoring activities with proper spares procurement & respond to the shut down jobs in incumbent's respective area.
- Responsible for SAP and PAP Instrumentation day to day maintenance.
- Responsible for SAP and PAP Inst. P.M planning and implementation.
- Calibration of SAP and PAP Instruments as per ISO 9001 schedules & MI.
- Raising & Follow up of PRs of the area. Spares planning & procurement.
- All improvement activities & Capex jobs of the area .
- PM & History records of Acid Plants.
- Up keep of all drawings & documentation of Acid Plants
- Responsible for total MI of Instrumentation.
- Maintenance of Analyzers in acid plants.

This position is responsible for plant availability through preventive Electrical maintenance of the equipment, which reduces the electrical breakdown time with scheduled condition monitoring activities with proper spares procurement & respond to the shut down jobs in incumbent's respective area.
- Planning and execution of preventive maintenance jobs across all the plants as per production plan to give maximum plant availability for production.
- Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure maximum uptime of machines.
- Taking the ABT meter readings at MRSS and looking after APFC panels for better utilization of machines
- Looking after PCC, MCC rooms, HT motor checking for insulation & winding resistance during the startup of the plant.
- Individual critical component wise analysis on consumption and reasons for the same to control inventory and effect cost reduction
- Carrying out Electrical Integrity & Statutory requirements for compliance
- Ensure proper and continued implementation of QMS/PSMS/EMS/OSHAS through its compliance in the work area.
- Assisting in implementing planning for procurement / inventory control / vendor development Monitoring of the energy meter readings, Maintenance of PF nearer to unity.
- Train and educate all personnel in the department by observing the job done and giving feedback for continual improvement at work area.
- Maintenance of shift Log books, Work permits & PM schedules. Preparation of daily power reports & sending to all concern along with MIS.

Manage the Sulphuric acid production with optimum utilisation of resources, complying with safety, environment norms, management systems,statutory regulations, to achieve production targets in line with targeted quantity, quality, and efficiency. To facilitate timely & safe completion of CAPEX projects pertaining to SA-Plant
1.Manage people to operate Sulphuric acid plants and produce Sulphuric acid 2. Ensures all the team complies with safety, environment, IMS and statutory regulations, and meet production and efficiency targets 3. To meet the business target
4) To improve plant efficiencies (Rock to S2O5) for different input rock grades and optimize the rock-mix for efficient plant operations, depending on Business priorities
5) To facilitate timely & safe completion of CAPEX projects pertaining to SA-Plant
- Achieve Production, efficiencies, and down time targets by monitoring plant operations, providing directions to team, coordination with various agencies (maintenance, materials, HR, all other support services etc. )
- Analysis of process and equipment troubles along with team members and implement corrective and preventive action to avoid recurrence
- No accidents, incidents, pollution control norms deviation in the plant by ensuring compliance to safety, PSMS and IMS system by all team members by education and periodic auditing, propagating Senses concept.
- Facilitate timely & safe completion of Major CAPEXs pertaining to Sulphuric.acid plant
- Prepare regular reports to Management, statutory bodies and release in time.
- Attend regular meetings (monthly review, budget, safety etc) to appraise management on plant performance and put up issues requiring management support for achieving targets Subordinate development, competency improvement of team members, through appraisal system, counseling, training for bridging competency gaps
- Identification of process improvements and equipment replacement required for plant Preparation of justification and feasibility report for Management approval
Desired Candidate Profile
- Btech - Chemical with 12- 18 yrs of experience of working in chemical process plant
- Should have prior exp in Sulphuric acid plant
- Trouble shooting.
- Hazop study, root cause analysis,
- Basic knowledge on mechanical and other disciplines to operate and maintain process equipment.
- Develop basic Engineering documents for process improvements.
- Leader ship, with communication skills to lead the team
