Quality-Supervise/Guide piping/welding inspectors and Fabrication team to ensure that tests and inspections are performed to meet organizational goals and proper implementation of Quality Management systems.


(a) internationally recognized university, four (4) or five (5) year Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline, with seven (7) or more years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality, ISO 9001 QMS requirements, activities and resources for construction & pre-commissioning of materials and equipment.

High school diploma with twelve (12) or more years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality, ISO 9001 QMS requirements, activities and resources for construction & Pre Commissioning of materials and equipment.


(b) Three (3) or more years of direct work experience in QC supervision of capital project construction & Pre-Commissioning quality related to the engineering discipline and scope of WORK (e.g., industrial oil and gas production or petrochemical projects).


(e) Passed an internationally accredited (i.e., IRCA or ASQ) Quality Auditor training course and examination, or approved equivalent, for the 2015 version of ISO 9001 .


(d) Proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.


(e) Demonstrated mastery of ISO 9001 QMS requirements, engineering and design documents, engineering standards, material specifications, construction methods and QC inspection and test procedures in one or more inspection disciplines: Welding or piping


(a) Currently certified by either (1) AWS as a CWI, or (2) TWI CL as a CSWIP 3.1 Wl, or 


(3) an approved equivalent certification level and scheme.


(b) Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements required for the WORK, such as ANSI/ASME 831 .3, 831.4 & 831.8; ASME 8PVC (Sections V and IX); API 620, API 650 and AWS 01.1 .


(e) Where NDT forms part of the WORK, currently certified by the Employer toa minimum of Level 11 under ASNT SNTTC- 1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189 in the relevant test methods

and techniques to be performed, reviewed or assured (i.e., VT, MT, PT, RT and/or UT).



MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • As mentioned above in Fabrication - Vessels/Piping,
  • Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements required for the WORK, such as ANSI/ASME B31 .3, B31.4 & B31.8; ASME BPVC (Sections V and IX); API 620, API 650 and AWS 01.1 , Sec.II A&C.

Have working knowledge with drawings, sketches, etc.

  • Must have intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access
  • Must be able to work in a potentially hazardous, metal cutting environment consisting of hot pipe, loud noise, elevated temperatures and smoky atmosphere.
  • Supervision of Inspections and tests of products as applicable to certifications (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT, PMI, Hardness, Ferrite, Receipt inspection, dimensional inspections, coatings, etc.)
  • Review bid packages and prepare deviation requests.
  • Prepare project specific Procedures.
  • Adequately evaluate and interpret inspection results and perform applicable documentation for inspection results.
  • Reports to Quality Manager regarding the tasks performed and results of performed inspections.
  • Monitoring, measuring and analyzing work control processes through in process inspections, and adequately identifies issues adverse to quality in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Provides guidance and training to lower level QC inspectors and trainees.
  • Effectively communicates with production personnel and quality management issues and concerns encountered during inspections performed.
  • Provide guidance and resolution to issues in accordance with procedures or codes as applicable.Ensures that documentation of fabrication performed and applicable documentation to the product are acceptable, complete and accurate for work performed.
  • • Ensure adequacy of Quality Records through review and verification of implementation, including correction of documents when identified incorrect.
  • • Maintain Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) to ensure that use is logged and equipment is protected from misuse or damage.
  • • Ensure that timeliness of inspections is achieved through communication with QC Manager and production supervision.
  • • Establishes goals and priorities for inspection personnel through communication with facility management and production personnel
