Job Description: We are looking for Civil/Mechanical Junior engineer capable for executing the construction activities for a Water and sanitation Project in Maldives. Roles and responsibilities are as mentioned below:
1. To ensure that the Project is getting completed in the given timelines and cost.
2. Should be capable of constructing bore holes which consists of drilling, media filling, casing pipes and pump placing activities.
3. Should be capable in construction of civil works in Desalination Plant which is inclusive of laying and hydro testing of Underground HDPE, CPVC pipeline, construction of valve chambers, laying thrust blocks, connecting water meters house to house, construction of administrative building, Tank foundations approx. 800 Cum capacity tanks, pavements, compound wall/fencing, interior roads, landscaping etc.
4. Should be capable in construction of Sewer pits outside the houses, construction of Septic tanks and inspection chambers, construction of deep sewerage well with sinking method, laying of sewerage line etc.
5. Should be capable in construction of outfalls to the sea for brine return line and sewerage disposal by sinking method, also should have experience in sea shore reinstatement after the completion of outfall work.
6. To ensure that the work is carried as per the international quality standards. Should have knowledge in BS standards.
7. Should have thorough knowledge in reading the construction drawings, preparing BOQ, BOM, BBS and verifying/preparing sub-contractors, vendors, PRWs invoices/bills.
8. Should have good knowledge in concrete mixing ratios, placing of concrete, formwork placing, supporting and scaffolding works, bar bending cutting and placing works, block works and finishing works.
9. Knowledge in preparing rate analysis for extra works shall be an added advantage.
10. Should be capable of handling man and machine resources efficiently.
11. Should adhere to safe practices at site to ensure minimum LTI’s.

1. To follow the directions of the Project Engineer and ensure that the work is getting completed in the given timelines and cost.
