Business Manager - Islamabad (Pakistan)

Experience: 10 to 15 yrs.

KEY CHALLENGES: 
1)To provide leadership to the country Business Team to achieve the Organizational Objectives and grow the Country sales and market share whilst maintaining high company profile in the market place.
2) To strengthen Distribution network and identify the right product portfolio suitable for different regions of the Country to achieve leadership position for the Core Crops of the Company. 
3) To consistently deliver on the set Business Objectives and contribute to the overall Organizational Goals, as a key member of the Senior Management Team.
4) To be a good team player as the position involves working closely with other functions to achieve the sales and marketing objectives.
5) To develop and implement Crop wise and Marketwise Strategies with the objective of achieving leadership position for the Organization in the medium to long term ( 3 to 5 years) horizon 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
1 Development and implementation of the marketing strategies, which is consistent with the strategic and operating policy of the company.
2 Achievement of Annual Business and Brand Development objectives, in terms of Revenue, EBITDA, Market Share, Branding Building and Expanding business thru Crop expansion and area expansion.
3 Development and implementation of strategies to increase the value, volume and profitability of the Company. 
4 Effective management, development and utilization of the knowledge and skills of the team members to ensure achievement of full potential of the people and product portfolios in the Country assigned
5 Development and implementation of the pricing policy of the company for the products consistent with Organizational Policy.
6 Liaison with the Corporate/ Institutional business partners to ensure a mutually profitable relationship.
7 Effectively justifying new product and technology requirements by developing proper business case so as to ensure that the Research Team supports such requirement by delivering products are required to achieve market leadership.
8 Proactively monitor competitors activities to ensure preparedness of the Company to develop and sustain competitive advantage in the market place.
9 Provision of accurate sales forecasts in order to enable Supply Chain to plan a robust production and product supply plan.
10 Liaison with Supply Chain Managers to ensure that focus on customer service and relations are maintained at the required levels.
11 To develop credit policy, monitor credit control and achieve organizational objectives of timely collection and Zero Bad debts. 
12 To Review stock levels from time to time in the Country to ensure achievement of sales objectives of the company all the time and to ensure sales returns at bare minimum level if not Zero level.
13 Recruitment, training and retention of professional personnel capable of achieving the organizational goals set for the Country
14 To undertake performance Reviews of the team members in a constructive and fair manner to keep high level of employee motivation and to comply with the Organizational employee satisfaction policy.
15 Management of expenses competently to ensure that expenses are maintained within budgeted levels.
16 Ensuring all administrative functions are managed in a timely, accurate and effective manner in accordance with company procedures.
17 To ensure that all Job responsibilities are carried out in a manner consistent with the Company Values, Culture & Procedures.
18 To ensure that marketing and promotional strategies are implemented as per the approved plan.
19 To consistently work towards strengthening Organizations image and building relations with the trade, Government and other external agencies through effective representation.
20 Ensuring that all staff in the Sales & Marketing Functions and self is trained in and are aware of all issues relating to GMO products.
21 Ensuring all business activities are fully compliant with all protocols for both GM and non-GM products.

BACKGROUND/ QUALIFICATION: 

1) Basic Agriculture degree with Post Graduate Degree in Marketing/ Business Management 
2) 10-15 years experience in sales and marketing of Field Crop Seeds sector of which at least 5 years as leader of team. 
3) Understanding and experience of working in all the regions of the assigned Country.
