Civil Quantity Surveyor


Experience: 3 to 8 yrs.  |  Opening(s): 2


  • Participates in establishing a broken down B.o.Q, for interim payment purposes, for lump sum contracts and/or items.
  • Prepares and maintains proper Quantity Surveying Sheets
  • Measures the executed works as per the Contract Method of Measurement.
  • Compiles and maintains all supporting documents and backups for the executed works and the measurement thereof including signed NRI, QS sheets, progress records, etc.
  • Prepares and submits the interim payment applications in accordance with contract payment mechanism and procedures ensuring that all executed works are measured and claimed immediately at the end of each interim payment period.
  • Liaises with the Engineer's and Employer's quantity surveyors in verifying measured quantities and processing payments.
  • Participates in the assessment of variations and claims.
  • Includes amounts for approved variations and/or agreed claims in the interim payment applications as per contract provisions.
  • Prepares the Contract Final Measures together with application fo Payment at Completion in accordance with contract provisions ensuring that all executed works have been measured, verified, and claimed.
  • Prepares B.o.Q. for subcontracts.
  • Verifies subcontract measurements and payment applications.
  • Liaises with all project sections in quantity measurement, recording, and reporting matters.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned.

  • Buildings
  • Earthworks / Road Works
  • Breakwater / Revetment
  • Infrastructure / Services

Interact effectively with peers and Supervisors.

Ability to work as part of the team.

A good knowledge of Construction Methods and materials.

Project Controls Engineer


Experience: 3 to 8 yrs.

  • Draft project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
  • Initiate, coordinate and maintain Project List(s) of Deliverables including those for project procedures and plans, engineering, procurement, material submittals, method statements etc.
  • Put together procurement packages including quantities take-off, contract specifications and technical requirements, delivery schedule etc.
  • Initiate and maintain Procurement Status Register.
  • Prepare and maintain Subcontractors Register.
  • Assist in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating subcontract prices.
  • Assist in subcontracts administration and related correspondences, measurements, payment certification, closing final account etc.
  • Coordinate and maintain Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
  • Prepare a List of Project Materials along with the required quantities and maintain a continuous project materials reconciliation.
  • Ensure that project records and diaries are maintained including photos, list of daily activities, climate conditions, utilised & idle resources, productivities, important events, verbal site instructions, etc.
  • Monitor the Contract Scope of Work and any Variations thereto.
  • Prepare and maintain Variations and Claims Registers.
  • Collect, maintain and group contemporary records necessary for assessment and substantiation of Variations and Claims.
  • Prepare Variation and Claim submissions.
  • Collaborate with quantity surveyors in preparing and submitting monthly payment requests.
  • Assist in preparing budget and current estimates and monitor any variances.
  • Participate in establishing project cost centres and allocate costs accordingly.
  • Participate in preparing Project internal and external reports in the required format using the Project maintained records and information and the analysis thereof as necessary.
  • Liaise with project different sections in project controls and commercial matters.
  • Replace cost control engineer, quantity surveyor or planner when necessary.
  • Deputise Project Controls Manager in certain tasks if and when required.
  • Participate in preparing the Project Close-Out Report and Lessons Learnt.
  • Perform the above duties or part thereof or any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time according to the Projects type, circumstances and needs.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned.

  • Holding a Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Strong civil engineering knowledge and practice.
  • Specialization in marine, heavy civil structures, bridge or infrastructure is desired.
  • Highly competent in using Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge in using planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is desired.
  • Cost control principles, scheduling techniques, international administration contracts and claims.
