Information Technology Manager/ IT Manager for Capital Foods Limited (Malawi)

Experience: 5 to 10 yrs.

• Should be able to manage information technology and computer systems.

• Experience in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP).

• Should be able to develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development.

• Capable of managing information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems.

• Capable of controlling the computer systems budgets and expenditures.

• To ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software main activities.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.

• Maintaining current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.

• Providing network accounts and passwords as required.

• Monitoring security of all technologies.

• Install and maintain foolproof and passwords.

• Input and maintain IP addresses.

• Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.

• Ensuring installation of lock out programs.

• To identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.

• Performing other related duties regarding IT as required during working hours and if necessary after hours.

• Maintaining Servers efficiently (Deploying/ Configuring Exchange & Accounting Servers).

• Should be open for relocating to Malawi(Southeast Africa) and should have a valid passport with him.

• Should be familiar with all hardware and software.

• Should be familiar with network operating system.

• Providing orientation to new users of existing technology.

• Training staff about potential uses of existing technology.

• Training staff about new and potential use.

• Providing individual training and support on request.

• Providing recommendations about accessing information and support.

• Making recommendations about purchase of technology resources.

• Research current and potential resources and services.

• Providing network access to all staff.
