We are currently looking for a Technical On Job Trainers / Instructors (Oil & Gas) - Instrumentation to be deputed in a Prestigious LNG company. Below is the details of the Job.

Number of Positions: 2

Salary: Rial Oman 3,700 per Month, includes Basic, HRA, All Allowance & Utilities

Location: Sur, Oman

Working Hours: 45 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday including 1 hour lunch break.

Leave Cycle: 30 working days per contract year.

Passage: Home leave ticket allowance will be paid in cash after 12 months of work

Medical Insurance: Would be provided by the company as per the company policy and procedure.

End of Service benefit: Gratuity as per the Omani labor law shall be paid at the end of service.

Key requirements:

Educational Qualifications.

  • Be qualified with an Engineering degree in Instrumentation and control from recognized educational establishment. Diploma is acceptable if relevant experience is excellent.

Technical Experience.

  • Have a minimum of Twelve (12) years' experience in maintenance / projects / commissioning in large LNG, Oil, Gas, petrochemical, Fertilizer complex having complex systems with Gas turbines / compressors / Mark-V, DCS, ESD System, Antisurge Valves, CCC anti surge system, vibration monitoring system.
  • Should be expert in day to day maintenance activities & troubleshooting  & testing of instrumentation like smart transmitters, various type of level/flow/temperature instruments, control valves, positioners ,hydraulic systems , ESD logic functions etc.
  • Exposure to training and development of engineers / technicians in a Instrumentation maintenance organization.
  • OJT experience is preferable. But it is not must.
  • Shall be fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English.
  • Be competent in the use of all MS Office tools.
  • In addition to the Technical experience, it is preferable to have Experience as Training Instructors in Instrumentation in developing and delivering the training / teaching technicians / engineers in an Oil & Gas environment preferably in LNG Industry.

    Job description:
     
  • Main task is to support / train Omani Instrument technicians by providing on job training by participating in maintenance task along with them and also train them in fundamentals of instrumentation.
  • Participate in day to day troubleshooting of instrumentation jobs along with instrument technicians.
  • Supporting plant maintenance activities during shutdowns or in times of manpower shortage.
  • Assessing the status of each staff member relative to the time and module of training being undertaken within the program.
  • Maintaining detailed records of candidate progress as required by the validating body. Developing individual recovery plans for any staff not achieving prescribed or expected progression.
  • Conducting theoretical (classroom) and practical (workshop) training as well as ''Live Plant'' on job training.
  • Preparation of formal status reports to the Line and Training department management.
  • Supporting groups of candidates as a course tutor and taking responsibility for a course team.
  • Creating course materials writing assessment materials acting as an internal verifier.
  • Other administration functions normally associated with works of this nature.
