Our Client a leading Electronics & Electrical Company engaged in various new projects of MEP requires JUNIOR SITE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL)

Job Description:

Purpose The position assist with the co-ordination of the technical control aspects on a contract and advise on technical interpretation of specification requirements
The position also control and interpret cost data

Minimum Qualification
BSc or NDip (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering)

Assist the Site Engineer with the determination of targets, sequence, method, resources and programme for the allocated work according to allowables
Accurately interpret plans and job specifications, and provide advise in this regard
Timeously identify and report discrepancies/omissions on plans to the Site Engineer
Scrutinise the plans/drawings, identify and report any items to be ordered for to the
Site Agent/Snr Site Engineer
Monitor and measure progress in respect of programme and timeously report
Variances to the relevant manager.
Site administrationy policy and procedural requirements for Site costing
Monitor labour, plan and materials requirements and based on reconciliation of
plans ensure all orders are timeously placed for labour, Plant material and Subcontractors
Timeously requisition consumables and minor Plant against allowable
Receives materials and Plant and reconcile deliveries against orders to ensure correct quantity and quality of materials delivered
Timeously action short orders to avoid work stoppages
Information and record keeping
Prepare and submit reports to the relevant manager in respect of areas such as work progress, costs and scheduling
Compile up to date and accurate Site records in consultation with Quantity
Surveyor including, Dayworks, sub-contractor contra charges, etc. for approval and authorisation
Marked up a programme which display work progress and displayed it in the site office at all times
SHEQ assurance
Implement the Project Quality plan in accordance with project and policy requirements and monitor and ensure achievement of quality standards of drawings and specifications
Reporting non-conformance and monitoring that corrective action ahs been taken
Maintain company and legal requirements for site safety, including the safety of working conditions, plant and equipment, as well as the issue of safety equipment and clothing.
Monitor that corrective action is taken in respect of non-compliance
