Profile of Sr. Manager - Accounts and Control for Mayar Group

    The ideal candidate possesses solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative enviroountnment.

    Reporting to: - The Senior Manager- Accounts & Controls will have functional reporting to Director- Finance in Hong Kong and work closely with Country Head- Newzeland in Business Analysis, evaluating commercial Contracts and financial engineering while developing business of the Company and responsible for implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. His important role will be to support the management in decision-making on strategic and periodic business matters.

    Experience Required: - Minimum 10+ years of experience working experience as Accounting/Commercial Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.

    CTC- No bar for a right candidate

    Age: - 35 Years

    Essential skills
    Must demonstrate expert knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP. 
    Highly detail-oriented and organized.
    Commercially sound with matured negotiation skill.
    Good head for figures and for dealing with complex modelling, financial ratios and analysis, as well as a sound grasp of financial systems, policies and procedures.
    Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
    Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
    Ability to deal with bankers for managing working capital and funding requirements of the Company.
    Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
    Good team player capable to become a team leader.
    Pioneer in Relationship management with different stakeholders.

    Major responsibilities 

    Utilizing hands-on accounting and commercial experience, supporting operations in decision making and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, he will perform Commercial, Accounting & MIS activities and financial analysis. Detailed responsibilities include:
    Preparing and analyzing financial and MIS reports and records.
    Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
    Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
    Training and mentoring junior staff.
    Budgeting (making revenue and expense budgets for the business/divisions/SBUs) and contracts management. 
    Statutory compliances (tax, audit, legal).
    Cash-flow management and funds raising through banking channel.
    Performing variance analysis and preparing account reconciliations.
    Vetting the Sales, Purchase and Service contracts for statutory requirements and safeguarding commercial interests of the Company. 
    Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating transactions.
    Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
    Conducting Internal Audit of expenses and commercial documentation at various offices of the Company.
    Dealing with the banks, raise WC limits, arrange funding as per the requirements of the business and in-line with growth projections and budgets.

    Requirements

    Proven working experience as Accounting/Commercial Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
    Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
    Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
    Proven knowledge of book Keeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
    High attention to detail and accuracy
    Ability to direct and supervise.
    Experience of liaison with the Banks, to support and meet funds requirements is a must. 
    Dedicated Team Player adding value to the overall business decision making through support to operations and analysis of available data.

    Good Communication skills and knowledge of written and spoken English language.
    Working Conditions: Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company offices in other countries.
