    Job opening for Principal and Vice Principal for Renowned IB school

    Location :Singapore
      Position: Vice Principal

    The VP will work to support the Head of School in the effective day-to-day running of the school and will deputise when required. The VP will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and directly responsible to the Head of School. The VP will be responsible for the standards for the academic achievement overseeing the continuity and progression of the age-related curricular programmes.

    Each member of academic staff will be accountable to the VP in carrying out their professional duties, just as every member of staff is accountable to the Head. The VP should create a strong and effective team spirit that reflects the values of our IB
    school, including:
    Setting high standards of professional performance.
    Being an excellent communicator, listening to staff and being an effective channel between the Head of School and staff.
    Be responsible for all Senior Coordinators and oversee their work in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement.
    Be responsible for whole school assessment procedures.
    Oversee pupil target setting and progress tracking.

    Liaise with Admissions on suitability of applicants and scholarship entrance.
    Compile an annual report on academic achievements following IGCSE/IB Diploma examinations.
    Manage the staffing of all academic lessons including absences and cover procedures.
    Be responsible for the induction of new staff.
    Facilitate performance management with the Head of School.
    Oversee the reporting of academic achievements to parents and organisation of parent meetings.
    Compile and publish information as required on the curricular programmes on offer.
    Work closely with the Head of School and other senior colleagues on the general development of the school.

    Prerequisites:
    Bachelor Degree in Education.
    Have 5 years of Secondary teaching experience including IGCSE and IB Diploma and at least 3 years senior leadership experience in a 3-18 school setting.
    Have experience working in an IB World School.

    Desirables:
    Experience across different age ranges eg. Early Childhood/Primary as well as Secondary.
    Understanding of IB PYP
    Experience teaching IGCSE Global Perspectives
      Should be from west India

        II. JOB PURPOSE
        Act as the overall in-charge in the operation of the school and lead the school by developing and communicating a clear vision and mission and ensuring smooth curriculum operations.

        III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
        Planning & Strategic
        Development
        [For Key Personnel Only)
        Strengthen school"s reputation and improve customers satisfaction through:
        o Reviewing of School's key processes and structures 
        o Aligning campus activities through Marketing & Social Media
        o Develop strong word of mouth endorsements through Parents engagements /PSG with special emphasis on low-cost/ no-cost endeavors
        o Community Outreach Projects to improve school brand & local community bonding
        Develop, monitor and review strategic plans and processes to best employ expertise,talent and resources 
        Identify and communicate key goals and performance indicators and sets measurable targets to evaluate staffs performances.

        Assess school's efficiency in utilizing resources and evaluate the safety of the school, quality of services administered to ensure a long-term sustainable curriculum operation
        Assisting in yearly teacher evaluations, assisting in providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the school.
        Review Succession Plans of HODs/Coordinators
        Chairs meetings for the purpose of coordinating activities and ensuring that outcomes achieve school objectives
        Approve annual report for the Board to provide accountability 
        Grow student enrollment as per set target
        Achieve 100% internal control compliance with School's stated policies & procedures in governance, finance, purchasing & human resources. As well as Regulatory compliance & Compliance to Environment, Health & Safety, Sustainability and Disaster Management
        Review and improve process workflow within school to increase productivity
        Cultivate and drive Team building culture in school
        Responsible for achieving target results of Board classes in the segment
        Academic Leadership
        Provide assistance to the teachers in order to improve their teaching capabilities and
        instructional techniques
        Grow Innovative academic initiatives such as taping student learning at skill level, pedagogy based on Learning styles & Digital usage to enhance learning
        Increase Student achievements in external competitions and events and represent schools in national and international seminars/competitions in curricular and co & extracurricular areas
        Ensure highest standards in the curriculum, pedagogy for the implementation of the curriculum, recruitment of the academic personnel, teacher empowerment programs, timely interventions for curricular and pedagogical corrections
        Clear identification of learning objectives at each module/level and measure learning outcomes
        Evaluate teaching programmes relevancy and effectiveness relating to the development
        of students cognitive, physical, aesthetic, social and moral, and leadership.
        People Resource Planning & Development

        Develop and evaluate a systemic process for identifying and addressing the training needs of staff to ensure they are adequately equipped to deliver on the goals of the school.
        Review current training plans and programmes to ensure that it is able to identify, develop and optimize the potential of all staff.
        Develop effective communication and interaction links between management and staff to assess, identify and promote staff welfare needs.
        Create an environment that builds and supports the morale of staff so that they are empowered in school improvement and have a deeper sense of shared ownership and involvement in school affairs.
        Develop a system for collecting and managing data and information to make sound planning and administration decisions.
        Interact and engage with parents who serve the school advisory boards and parent teacher organizations. Others
        Develop partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance the quality of education .
        Assess the physical facilities of the school to provide a safe and secure environment conducive for learning and work.
        IV. JOB REQUIREMENTS
        Minimum Qualifications Masters Degree with a teaching degree or its equivalent 

        Experience
        At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or leadership position with an international school. Prior experience in strategic planning, financial and human resource management would be an advantage
