Animator
We are looking for a disciplined and artistic resource with a firm grasp on animation techniques, fundamentals, and software.
The Animator will read through scripts and speak with clients to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in the editing process.
You should be collaborative, knowledgeable, and reliable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for animating 3D character models, handle key frame animations and facial/lip synch animations.
- Demonstrate a broad range of 3D animation principles, animating characters and objects to meet the required direction in creating the overall look, attitude and style of the production.
- Work collaboratively to meet production objectives, deadlines and quotas, ensuring open communication with other managers and team member
- Actively participate in team/department meeting
- Mentor entry-level artists by providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that provide for their artistic and professional growth
Required Candidate profile
- Should be a mid-level or senior level animator position.
- 3+ years related entertainment industry experience.
- Brings high level of artistic / animation accomplishment to the solution of artistic problems.
- Determines the best method of completing tasks that fall within the scope of normal responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Maya is a must.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
Animation Trainer
Job Specification:
- - To prepare students (Animators) to work on shots in production with both the technical and artistic skills necessary.
- - To guide students to enhance their basic acting and performance skill.
- - To train students to understand the processes and culture of IRAS.
- - Should be an expert learner, and able to use a variety of educational techniques.
- - To be able to guide students on the basic of 2D animation will be an added advantage
- - To be able to guide students to learn IRAS pipeline and continue to push them to use the tools and stay updated.
Key Accountabilities:
Should be able to:
- - Present lectures on technical and creative topics in an open, upbeat, engaging manner
- - Guide and coach students in creating quality work.
- - Challenge and encourage students to do better.
- - Communicate effectively and proactively with partner departments, including the animation department and recruiting.
- - Create and improve on documentation and written tutorials.
- - Create and edit video tutorials with an emphasis on brevity, clarity and zero errors.
- - Ongoing development of Animation Academy curriculum to effectively meet the needs of students and production.
- - Run training and provide feedback and reviews.
- - Assess whether the students are meeting targets, work with them to improve, and provide feedback about their success to the supervisors.

Required Candidate profile
Qualification:
- - Should be an expert Animator in Maya with at least few years of production experience.
- - Should be an excellent communicator, both written and spoken.
- - Should be able to work independently within an organization to get information proactively.
- - Should have thorough knowledge of animation principal and production techniques
- - Should have a love of teaching and learning and great enthusiasm for Animation.
- - Previous experience as a trainer is highly desirable, but applicants with a genuine interest in moving into training will be considered
