Experience :

Extensive familiarity with planning and scheduling with at least 5 years of experience in foreman or lead position. 5 to 8 years experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably within petrochemicals. Middle East experience is considered essential. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads and controls teams engaged in all activities concerned with the planning works aspects of the project. Ability to optimize resources of manpower to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works. Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary.
Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures. Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, BOQs, and all other project and engineering documentation. Keeps records of all work completed and completion of Action Lists.
Commands respect of his workforce, and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management.
Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
Must be a good communicator. Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to his workforce. Liaises with other discipline foremen to ensure the optimum utilization of available work, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
Develop overall Project Master Schedules derived from the contract and estimate the data provided. Develop schedule for construction equipment, manpower and material deliveries in accordance with the project master schedules.
Updates Project master schedules as the work progresses. Analyze the potential schedule effects of contract variations and change orders. Develop look ahead schedules based on actual available resources.
Prepare progress reports for company projects, executive management and client in accordance with the Project Controls Procedure and other instructions.
Participates in the preparation of Clients Contract Billings (Progress Payment) in accordance with the contract terms and conditions.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Attends meeting with other members of the Project Management team and Clients as required to discuss status, problem areas and resolution of such problems.
Identifies, formulates and implements on-the-job training programs for the workforce under his responsibility.
Familiar with all Company safety and QA/QC procedures/regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under his responsibility.
