Educational Qualification - Graduate preferably engineering in a relevant discipline, NEBOSH certificate or an equivalent Safety Management Diploma; training in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management systems standards; Professional membership in IOSH, IIRSM, etc., is an added advantage.

    Experience - 6 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.

    Job Description
    Support HSE improvement needs for items such as safety training, intervention, Permit to Work processes, Job Safety Analysis and HSSE risk management processes, toolbox talks; incident reporting and investigation; onsite inspection; personnel positive engagement on safety matters.
    The incumbent will functionally report to the Construction HSSE Manager and will be part of the Construction Safety Support Team, daily report to the Site Construction/External Subcontractors Lead and respective HSSE Advisor. A key requirement is 80% of time allocated to engagement with the construction workers and supervision on site and at External Subcontractors.
    Assist on Golden Safety Rules and Construction HSSE Plan implementation.
    Assist on External Subcontractors HSSE Management Plan implementation
    Conduct audits and provide safety training and coaching for items including but not limited to HSSE Induction, HSSE Intervention, Energy Isolation, Lifting and Hoisting, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, Emergency response, Hot Work Procedures, Working at Heights/ Scaffolding.
    Participate and provide guidance on the Permit to Work process and making sure requirements are implemented on site/s.
    Get involved in the Job Safety Analysis approval process and strict implementation on site/s.
    Provide coaching, consulting, HSSE inspection of the construction work and submitting observation cards.
    Assist the construction team with HSE incidents reporting and investigation.
    Assist in evaluation of External Subcontractors HSSE-MS, post award HSSE monitoring and follow up on the recommended improvements .
    Attend and interact regularly at toolbox talks and task briefings (minimum 3 times a week).
