Qualification/Skills
- API 570 Certification is must., Prefer API 510 & 653.
- RT, UT, MT, PT Certification.
- With 5 to 10 years of oil & gas Industry experience.
- Ability to develop a comprehensive test plan or procedure.
- Other certification like MFL, ACFM, LRUT, will be plus.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
- Code shooting capabilities.
- IRRSP or State Card. Specific Skills

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform API 570 inspections per customer's scope of work and intertech internal process and procedures.
- The API Inspector will be responsible for preparing and finalizing inspection reports.
- The ideal individual will be prepared to progress rapidly in order to advance to levels requiring more knowledge of tool functions.
- The onsite description will be either at a refinery , tank farm or pipeline.
- Oversee technicians assisting in inspection of client property.
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Establish and execute NDT Techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Document and organize inspection results.
- Interface and communicate with engineers to describe inspection results.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Knowledge of Inspection & NDT related, API & ASME Codes and Standards.
- Hands on experience with various ultrasonic equipments.
- Should have experience as a QC NDT inspector in Pipping
- Should be well conversant with ASME, AWS, ASTM, API codes and guidelines.
- Organize and report test results.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- May instruct and supervise others.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
- Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects
- Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions
- Work closely with client to identify and remove obstacles
- Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
- May, at times work at heights on ropes.
