The Analytical Sciences group within our company's Drug Research Institute has an opening for a scientist based in Jining, Shandong, China . In your role as an analytical scientist, you will be working on cross-functional drug product teams to enable the development of generic drug products that span a broad array of dosage forms through analytical characterization, imaging tools, and statistical data analysis. You would also contribute towards regulatory submissions.
Your main responsibilities, which are in no particular order and are by no means complete, include:
- Help to troubleshoot the challenges associated with the development of solid and sterile drug products for small molecules, and peptides through active collaboration with cross functional project teams
- Support the execution of scientific studies to inform the selection of development and market formulation compositions and manufacturing processes using traditional and advanced analytical technologies
- Document the execution, procedure, results, and conclusions of experiments in a detailed manner
- Develop and implement analytical methods utilized for both formulation development as well as methods for the release and shelf-life assessment
- Strong collaboration with fellow Analytical Sciences colleagues as well as cross-functional partners
- Support analytical development, validation and characterization of drug products within the pipeline
- Present results of experiments to product development teams.
- Maintain GLP & implement safety procedures while working in Lab.
- Knowledge about the handling and calibration of of all analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, UV, Dissolution, IR, Particle size analyzer, DSC, Osmometer, viscometer etc.
- Knowledge about the calibration of HPLC, GC, UV, SOR, IR, Particle size analyser, Osmometer, viscometer etc.
- Knowledge about regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Knowledge about method transfer activities.
- A proven record of strong research capability and technical problem solving skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to qualify for this role.
- Preferred Experience and Skills: The ideal applicant would have hands-on experience in modern analytical instrument, such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) / Gas Chromatography (GC), and Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS), UV spectrophotometry, dissolution characterization, method development, and basic statistical analysis
