Functions

Painting/ Coating Activities

  • First, check coating raw material inspection
  • Before blasting, clean the weld joint with fresh water and check the salt level. If it is ok, proceed with sandblasting.
  • Continue monitoring the weather condition every 2 hours.
  • After completing the sandblasting, check the blasting profile, salt test, dust test, check the surface temperature, humidity, and ambient temperature
  • After that primer, preheat and apply primer and check the primer thickness, as per requirement.
  • After that, heat the joint with an induction coil to require temperature @180-200 DEG.
  • All activities should be witnessed as per I.T.P and client inspection
  • Make final report for coating and submit it to the client for signature.


Education and Experience


Minimum of 5 years solid experience in QC Painting Inspection in the Oil and Gas Industry

Working Conditions


This position is considered OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors/outdoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace
  • Worksurface is stable (flat)

Quality Inspector - Telecom


Job Responsibilities.


  • Development and implantation of project inspection test plans (ITP's).
  • Completion and verification of field inspections and tests in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Management of punch lists, MDR's and as-install documentation.
  • Ensuring contractual requirements are met during the construction phase.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 standards.
  • Inspect installation and construction of Out-Side Plant (OSP) cables, manholes, conduits and internal building distribution systems.
  • Inspect all phases of the splicing and testing of cable systems
  • Review cable and ground measurement test data for the basis of acceptance
  • Review complex drawings to determine if the design is within the scope, applicable codes, and standards
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate and provide work directions to contracted inspectors.
  • Review and comment on Saudi Aramco and industry standards


An advanced diploma or degree in telecommunications.


Considerable experience working within the resource sector

Previous experience working as a QA/QC Inspector within the telecommunications industry.

Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
  • Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
  • Checks cable laying and cable identification.
  • Performs all relevant loop checks.
  • Updates as-built drawings.
  • Performs punch-listing operations.
  • Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system.
  • Performs visual inspections, dimensional tests, checks rating, and material for connection.
  • Performs tests of continuity, insulation resistance.
  • Calibrates safety valves.
  • Calibrates instruments.
  • Checks installation of instruments.
  • Performs tests functional instruments.
  • Checks pneumatic signal connection.
  • Checks fiber optic cable.
  • Performs test communication functionalities.
  • Verify special processes and the relevant worker's qualifications.
  • Witness the tests, controls and inspections carried out.
  • Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Previous construction experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Previous exposure to high voltage electrical installation including switchgear and electric drives
  • Exposure to Hazardous Area installations
  • Instrument calibrations including ultrasonic flow meter, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable role
  • Working knowledge of BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA codes and standards relating to electrical and instrumentation work
  • Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice, and regulations/legislation relating to electrical and instrumentation work
  • Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package. Familiar with other computer packages (eg. MS Project, Outlook, WinPCS, etc)
  • Hazardous Area installation and inspection experience is an advantage
  • Ability to perform well under pressure


Cathodic Protection Engineer


Work responsibility and involves in conducting and/or participating in on-site

  • inspections, witnessing and/or recording the results of the tests, and preparing defect notifications.
  • records and reports on inspection assignment.
  • Physically fit as work required climbing, primarily outdoors, require travel to remote areas.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in cathodic inspection activities & surveys.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have a valid Saudi driver's license.
  • Must have good vision (20/20 normal or corrected) and be in good physical condition.
  • Must be willing to work at high elevations and in confined spaces.
  • Must be willing to work in assigned areas.
  • Inspects materials and equipment to assure they are within tolerances, grade, and quality specified; that they are properly stored and handled, and that they have not been damaged.
  • Drafts inspection reports, pre & post T&I reports, defect notification, and makes logbook entries of on-site inspection findings. Maintains and updates databases for inspection records and correspondence files.
  • Inspects each job site for unsafe conditions that could cause injury, death, or financial loss to the Company. Reports findings to appropriate parties.
  • Assists in the development and training of lesser qualified inspectors.
  • A rforms other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the supervisor.
