Job Objectives
- Develop methods and procedures for software development that can scale up for large systems.
- Develops and delivers quality software which fulfills internal and external customers specification.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop the control system/software for the projects assigned. Primary programming environment is C# .NET and SQL.
- Software engineers are expected to spend extended period of time on-site during equipment installation. Installation sites include US, Europe and Asia.
- Perform on-site installation of the equipment. Debug and test until final acceptance by customers. Software engineers are expected to spend extended period of time on-site during equipment installation. Installation sites include US, Europe and Asia.
- Perform support and service for equipment on-site.
- Improve and contribute on software application design, development and end-users experience.
- Analyze current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming.
- Study and research on schematic for build-to-print project.
- Provide technical consultation for project manager and customer from time to time.
- Advice project manager and project application and sales team for components substitution.
- On-site support for any electrical and control related issues if required.
- Guide junior / assistant engineers on electrical and control related issues.
Authority / Accountabilities
- Ensure intellectual property of company and clients is protected.
- Assists department to maintain existing software/firmware application as well as creates new function/feature.
- Be a team player and assists team member to completed assigned tasks and projects.
- Ensure project deliver and meet project timeline.
- Directing software development projects.
- Leading engineers and software developers.
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Review and debug code.
Education / Experience:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.
- Experience in equipment control system/machine automation programming is an advantage. Preference will be given to those with such experience.
- Experience working with SEMI GEM Secs is an advantage.
- Programming of PLC, GUI device and Motion Controllers
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree, Masters in Computer Science/Information Technology (Programming), Software Engineering
- Minimum 4 years working experience in the relevant field
- Willing to travel and work in Penang, Malaysia
- Strong experience in Automation - Writing machine sequence ( C#, C++, C )
- Database Programming - SQL
- Experience in WCF, WPF
