Graphic Officer (Qatar)


We are in the process of finding a Graphic Officer for one of our Reputed MNC client.
our esteem client dealing in the Projects of Oil & Gas/Construction Engineering /Fabrication/Installation /and Testing for Qatar location.

Location:- Qatar

Reports To: Procedures Development Lead

1. Basic Function and Scope:

* Responsible for producing drawings, sketches, tables, charts, flow paths for developing procedures.

* Produce illustrations of plant equipment from vendor manuals and drawings.

* Performs non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring good engineering and process operation knowledge.

2. Tasks and Duties:

Convert the native file P&ID's using CAD or similar into Simplified Word Format Drawings or Sketches.

Prepare simplified plant overview and familiarization sketches.

Draw plans and working drawings using applicable information from within and outside the assigned discipline.

Produce simplified drawings using colour and shapes to facilitate interpretation of data. Modify issued engineering drawings into procedure formats.
Produce isometric sketches as needed to facilitate learning of process loops.

Produce simplified or combined drawings that will simplify learning the process. Research engineering data prior to execution.

Determine order of work and methodology with view to build on produced work. Ensure back-up copy of all materials produced.

3. Minimum Requirements:

a) Formal College or Technical Institute, educational background with an associate Certificate in Drafting Technology with one (1) or more years of experience or demonstration of equivalent experience. A portfolio showing samples of produced works is a prerequisite.

b) Must have sound knowledge of process equipment functionality, piping codes, field mounted and DCS control and architecture, interlocks, protective devices.

c) Convert CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) drawings to editable format.

d) Must have good knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures used in LNG or related processes.

e) Capable of explaining DCS process control and architecture fundamentals.

f) Good command of the English language.

g) 10 years Operations experience as DCS panel operator, shift leader in the oil and gas process industry, of which at least 2 years should have been in graphics presentations.

h) Should have hands-on experience in at least one of the following process units: Utility, LNG Train, SRU, IR/S&L.

i) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer graphics software.

j) Interpersonal skills to give and receive information tactfully to a multicultural audience.




4. Work Contacts:

Works in accordance with established procedures, training policies and professional standards. Work assignments are reviewed against specific objectives in terms of achievements and progress. Work is subject to review upon completion of assignments. Internal contacts on a frequent basis with Training Coordinator, Operations staff, technical representatives of equipment providers.

s. Working Environment:

80% normally air conditioned office environment and 20% Plant site
80% desk based and 20% standing and walking
