Accountant (Kazakhstan)

We have open position of Intercompany Accountant

Position will be based in Atyrau or Almaty.

Job purpose:
     
Responsible for all aspects of Intercompany Accounting in Kazakhstan. This is a complex role as it touches on most aspects of finance processes including, the purchasing, sales, treasury, fixed assets and inventory. This role requires a strong attention to detail, an ability multi task and think outside the box. 
 
Main responsibilities:
 1.     Receive incoming intercompany invoices and obtain appropriate approvals before accepting charges. Once approved invoices should be booked to the 1C System and recorded in the Intercompany log. Be critical even if invoices are approved to ensure costs are reasonable and relate to the Kazakhstan business.

2.     Preparation of outgoing intercompany invoices and obtain appropriate approvals before billing to intercompany partners. Once approved invoices should be booked to the 1C System and recorded in the Intercompany log.

3.     Ensure the unbilled account is reviewed monthly and no items older than 30 days remain unbilled to minimize risk of rejection by intercompany partners.

4.     Preparation of aged intercompany AP and AR reconciliations on a monthly basis. Flag to management any items over 1 year old. Timely settlement is essential in Kazakhstan to ensure compliance with tax legislation. The reconciliations should be prepared at a 1C level and at an HFM level including a reconciliation between 1C and HFM to enable proper monitoring and tracking.

5.     Check Unbilled account for inventory and fixed assets received and ensure they are properly recorded with transfer cost and accumulated depreciation and depreciated over the remaining useful life.

6.     Reconciliation of intercompany statements with intercompany partners (receivables and payables). Ensure statements are issued to them in accordance with policy. Disputes to be resolved in a timely manner.

7.     Responsibility over inventory in transit recording.

8.     Prepare transfer request forms for outgoing payments to intercompany partners.

9.     For incoming payments, ensure they are properly allocated to the corresponding invoices. Chase partners for payments on a regular basis.

10.  For any regular recurring costs, ensure they are properly accrued and ask intercompany partners to put the corresponding side in unbilled. Communicate with product line management to ensure all costs are captured.

11.  Reject invoices in accordance with the intercompany policy, keeping relevant product line management involved.

12.  Reconcile intracompany accounts and ensure they net off.

13.  Update HFM Intercompany, Unbilled and other relevant Supplemental Reports on a monthly basis and ensure all related reporting is sent to Region within the required deadlines.

Requirements:

University Degree preferably in Accounting and Finance
CAP Certification

q  At least 3 years experience in a similar role or 2 years working in a Finance related discipline.
q  Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
q  Good knowledge of 1C versions 8.1 and 8.2
q  Good working knowledge of English (written and spoken)
q  Knowledge of tax legislation.
q  Knowledge of the FCPA
