Head Procurement (Southeast Africa)

Experience: 14 to 24 yrs.  
Salary: INR 20,00,000 - 25,00,000 P.A Salary in USD + Accommodation + Transportation + Medical + Air Passage

The position will be responsible for all exploration activities and liaison with suppliers, products, prices and the entire import process and subsequent order.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring management of the department that involves: Procurement / Import / customs clearance and Dispatches
• Determine the needs of the Industry (factories nationwide) in terms of raw materials, consumables and subsidiaries
• Liaising with suppliers, aiming for products at competitive prices
• Do the "tendering", negotiation process and order placement
• Ensuring compliance with the import rules and their legal requirements
• Submit requests for waivers of legal rights to the authorities
• Ensure the documentary requirements either externally (custom houses etc.) and internally (interdepartmental)
• Ensure the followup or orders from the moment of its request until the entry of goods in various warehouses / production units
• Ensure compliance of deadlines in the placement of orders, terms of clearance of goods, payment of duties and other charges
• Keep an updated knowledge of the market of raw materials and commodities in particular.

Any graduate with minimum 14-15 yrs experience in Procurement of which 3 year in the Procurement Management position:
 

• Knowledge of the commodities market, import procedures and exemption requests;
• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance;
• Domain dosIncoTerms;
• Strong ability for team building and motivating;
• Good knowledge of computer;
• Knowledge of Primavera software [recommendable];
• Ability to work under pressure
