Designation LEAD / PMs

Job Description Key Responsibilities include:

Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental requirements of both customer (when at their premises)

Daily follow up of own tasks to ensure technical schedule attainment.

Reporting of accurate project progress and resource status on a regular basis to the Software Team Leader and Resource Team.

Technical input to & review of project plans and documentation as required.

Identification of technical schedule and commercial risks and the ability to propose solutions to the same.

Provide assistance to the Supply Chain Management Department as and when necessary to assist with the procurement and Sub-Contracting activities.

Preparation and reviewing of Project Requirements and Design Specifications.

Preparation and reviewing of the Software Products Requirements Design and Interface Specifications i.e. by estimating hours of work required to successfully complete proposed projects.

Preparation and reviewing of Test Requirements for specific software applications/units to standards as defined within the Codes of Practice.

Ensuring that System and unit Design Specifications comply with the contractual safety standards.

Preparation and reviewing of supplementary Project/Product documentation.

Reviewing solutions to ensure cross-project standardisation and optimisation of engineering resource.

Identification of project variation order requests opportunities.

Review all relevant analyses to verify findings and recommendations are acted upon.

Support of technical and project execution audits imposed by clients.

Software engineering support during various test and project phases including hosting customer witnessed FATs at customer facilities.

Attend project close-out meetings/lessons learned.

Limited ad hoc breakdown support at customer premises.

Typically had 10 years' experience in an associated field of industry.

Have a proven Software Engineering background in PLC /SCADA systems.

Have experience of working with codes of practice and national and international standards.

Be capable of working to and within the Contract articles.

Flexibility to work across a various range of Company products within the software discipline. Desirable

Member (ideally CEng or better) of the IET or other professional body.

Preferred experience in PLC & SCADA products such as: Wonderware Intouch and Incontrol Rockwell Automation and GE Intelligent Platform (Cimplicity).

Preferred experience of communication protocols such as Modbus Profibus TCP/IP and CANOpen.

Good knowledge of Kepware products.

Knowledge of virtual machines (including knowledge of virtual comm ports).

Knowledge of ATEX / DSEAR regulations.

Offshore working experience

including Vantage. Desired Characteristics Must be self-motivated have the ability to work individually as part of a team and lead a small team of engineers.

The person must also be willing to broaden their knowledge across a number of products.

Experience 10 - 15 Years

Role We are seeking an effective Controls Subsea Engineer. This position is within the Services Centre of Excellence Engineering team with a focus on brownfield upgrades including both field expansion and obsolescence removal. The candidate would be expected to engage in all software aspects of the equipment portfolio and to have a proven experience of high reliability low volume and custom design and to play an important role in multiple key projects.
