- Works under direct supervision of Department Head or area sales-in-charge.
- o Executive/Specialist:
- Non-technical professional working on specific product line, type of clients (government/private), or geographical location.
- o Sales Engineer:
- Engineering degree graduate performing Sales Executive /Specialist duties and offers technical advice to clients and to internal departments. Seniority determined by importance of accounts and level of responsibility exercised in overall sales activities.
- Follows up on telephone or walk-in inquiries, follows up quotation and costing.
Where available, provides customers with cost calculations and estimates.
Ensures product specifications are defined clearly by client for production. Sales Engineer provides technical inputs specific for client needs to meet requirements.
Follows-up major projects in the assigned areas to provide assistance in selection and approval of company products.
Liaises regularly with production for delivery of sales orders, and with finance to ensure documentation relevant to sales are processed as per requirement and time.
Negotiates and finalizes sales orders within assigned of prices, payment terms and delivery requirements.
Proposes distributors/stock lists for various product ranges.
Proposes request for special prices on product modifications or volume discounts to immediate manager.
