Senior BO Developer in Philips Lumileds Malaysia Sdn bhd

Primary Functions
Support Lumileds growth ambitions by providing world class manufacturing IT support on a global level. You will support the BO development efforts for all our factories. Will handle and develop BO solutions for all sites during day to day activities, upgrades, migrations, etc. and interacting with the vendors to test and deploy the requested upgrades. You need to interact with our key users to understand their requirements. This position works within Lumileds Manufacturing department and is responsible for the development and maintenance of complex SAP Business Objects reports, dashboards, and universes.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership and hands-on support for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Business Objects reports, dashboards, and universes
Works directly with end-users to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications/solutions
Works with other members of the BI team within Manufacturing to develop standards and drive adoption of those standards
Performs other duties as required
Work with users, DBAs, etc. in developing BO reports, administering BO servers, working with vendor to resolve issues, maintaining BO universes, etc.
Defining manufacturing process flows and suggestions for performance improvement as related to system capabilities. Help streamline and simplify whenever possible.

Minimum Qualifications
MUST
3-5 years of Design, Development, Testing and Implementation Experience in Business Objects Product Suite (including 4.1,3.1).
3 years of experience in designing and developing Universes using Business Objects Designer/Information Design tool.
3 years of experience in designing, developing, creating, modifying, and improving the performance of complex WebI and Crystal Reports with multiple data providers, unions, sub-queries, and database functions.
5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL.

WANT
Deep understanding of relational database concepts and common data warehousing schemas (star, snowflake, etc.)
Deep knowledge of Business Objects universes (.unv and .unx)
Strong team player
Ability to work with teams in different geographical locations
Accuracy, with an eye for detail
Solid communication skills
