We are looking for candidates with experience in Merchandising in Garment Fabrics and should have fluency in Chinese language.


Responsibilities: 


• Sourcing, advising & coordinating directly with various Mills in China.
• Communicating with buyers for new queries as well as updates.
• Meeting with vendors and explaining new development requirement to vendor team.
• Interacting with customers/suppliers and following up for huge orders till the final delivery.
• Planning for new season sampling, presentation of new fabrics, research & development of new fabrics & designs, modification of existing fabrics qualities to meet the buyer's requirements.
• Negotiation of prices according to the fabric qualities requirements.
• Selection and finalizing of vendors for the upcoming orders based on vendors experience of making similar products. 


• Preparing the purchase order, costing and negotiation with trim & accessory suppliers.
• Organizing order execution and production schedule planning to meet the deadlines.
• Update the buyers with the order status at all stages.
• Execution of running orders (production). 
• Sourcing and preparation of materials for new development.
• Taking care of Quality & Testing Standards to be follower for each fabric quality.
• Planning shipments schedule & container booking / sailing date confirmation and lastly looking after the Documentation part.
• Travelling in different parts of China to meet the various suppliers for fabric sourcing and coordination with them for new fabric developments according to the various buyer's needs.
• Also attending various Textile Fairs in China to develop new Mills / Factories for the various Fabrics.


• Must have minimum 3 years of experience as a merchandiser in garment fabrics;
• Candidates speaking Chinese language will be mandatory.
• Female candidates are preferred.
• Candidate should be fluent in speaking/writing English;
• Candidate should have fair technical knowledge about various garment fabrics;
• Should be ready to relocate to China;
• Ability to identify accessories, colour etc by visual inspection.
