We have the urgent opening for the position of "Database Administrator" for Baghdad - IRAQ location. 

Educational Qualification: BE. IT/ Comp science

Experience : 
3+ years working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX based environments.
2+ years working experience with Microsoft SQL database administration.
Good knowledge with UNIX Operating System and Windows Server 2012.
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

Responsibilities :

Monitor database, manage database performance and manage indexes to provide quick responses to queries.
Implement database auditing.
Schedule jobs to run inside or outside of the database.
Database documentation, including procedures, database architecture description and definitions for the Data Dictionary.
Work and communicate permanently with development team and operating team to ensure data integrity, security and safety.
Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner, control users and monitor their connection to the database.
Configure database for Backup and Recovery operations.
Query and create reports from the database.
Ability to analyze data and create data entities and procedures to deal with data.
Work on securing the database and implementing solutions to fill security gaps, and perform tests and assessments regularly to ensure data security and privacy.
Develop and test plans for backup and restore of database data and/or files.

PREFERRED SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:

Data Replication, Real Application Clustering, Oracle Replication Tools.
Business Intelligence and data warehousing
