Footwear designer must also have artistic skills like sketching & drawing, an eye for color and knowledge of textures and fabrics, noticing all the detailed complexities of the footwear.
Skill with computer-aided design (CAD) programs is increasingly important, accuracy and attention to detail is must.
Making accurate Bill of Materials against samples developed.
Assessing the designs and making sure that these are amended in order to improve the quality & enhancing the market revenue and profits.
Attending marketing meetings in order to display the illustrations of the
Working with other designers in order to construe the different styles that are active and of high demand in market.
Working with various footwear patterns in order to deliver a whole and comfortable fashion expression to the foot-wears.
Observing and settling the footwear pattern settings as per the manufacturing reappraisals, business enterprise regulations and different operations
Creating test footwear in order to portray his ideas and thoughts to people and his customers the ability to visualize designs

Overseeing the interactions with respect to design particularities and making sure that the methods and procedures of designing footwear are in complete agreement with the design particularities
He should have the ability to make or design shoes and other footwear that have stylish look and that the clients are comfortable wearing. At last, but not the least, he should be free and ready to experiment.
Maintaining the effectiveness, durability and high featuristic characteristics of the new designed foot-wears so that they are at par with the expectations of the clients
Contributes to team effort by ensuring availability of items at best price on earliest possible time.
Protects organization reputation by ensuring company guidelines. 
Ensure clean and safe working area.
Train and motivate workers for doing quality work as per SOP defined.
Overseeing his interactions with the clients, observing the growth procedures and methods of different footwear designs and approving the enhancement and productivity of the same.

Qualifications include:
Specialized knowledge Degree / Diploma in Footwear Designing from a reputed institute 
Skills Ability to draw and sketch footwear.
Personal characteristics - Very creative and fashion conscious.
Experience minimum 05 years
