As of today we are 14 years old company with around 100 employees and close to 50 customers around the world.

Job Description: 
Position: IT Operations Database Expert


Experience: 5+ Years
Employment Mode: Retainer/ Consultant/ Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 1 year
Notice Period: Immediate-20 days
Job Location: Oman

Technical Skills: 
-5-7 years of experience as Database Administrator & Expertise (Microsoft SQL, Oracle
Database, MySQL)
-Knowledge and proven experience of:
o Customer Relationship management
o Enterprise Resource Planning application
o Database management
o Data ware Housing
-Knowledge in Microsoft SQL database
-Knowledge in Oracle database
-Knowledge in MySQL database
-Knowledge on Java based applications
-Understanding of Telecom applications
-Knowledge in .Net based applications
-High level knowledge in 3rd party databases
-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
-Knowledge in Database integrations and reporting systems
-Knowledge in IIS, Microsoft SQL and Oracle database systems

Roles and Responsibilities: 
-Works in both MS SQL Server Database Administrator and Database Developer
capacity.
-Undertake the day to day Administration of MS SQL Server databases; keeping them live
for 24 hours; ensuring correct backup and restore strategy; capacity planning for residing
databases
-Undertake Administrative tasks including: data synchronization, data migrations, data
corrections;
-Development, maintenance and optimization for MS SQL Server Database, databases
queries and procedures, MS SQL Server Integration Services (MS SSIS) and SQL Server
-Reporting Services (MS SSRS)
Closely working with IT support team for resolving issues related to MS SQL Server
databases
-Occasional database related development on Oracle and Teradata, especially for Data
Warehouse (DWH) extracts; Development of certain projects and reports requiring data
from multiple source systems.
-Developing, maintaining and optimizing Operational Data Store (ODS) for Online Prepaid
Call History, which includes loading CDRs (Call Detail Records) to partitioned tables in
database in normalized format and showing as per user requirement with required
transformations.
-Developing and maintaining client applications on Data Warehouse (Teradata) using MS
SSIS and MS SSRS.
-Occasionally working on C#.NET and ASP.NET for some small applications development
and maintenance when required.
-Occasionally develop and maintain script files on Windows Command Shell and
PowerShell scripts as and when required; mainly for administrative tasks, including
archiving old files, chiefly backup files and CDR files.

-Understanding of Telecom applications 
-Ideally have additional knowledge and skills in general telecommunications 
technologies. 
-Good knowledge in windows and Linux OS administration 
-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 
-Knowledge in Database integrations and reporting systems 
-Knowledge in IIS, Microsoft SQL and Oracle database systems

Roles and Responsibilties:
-Maintains the operational integrity of the technologies and services provided & keeps
software functioning.
-Maintain existing policies and procedures for achieving operational objectives and also to
enhance and establish new based on internal approval process
Ensure compliance with all internal organization standards as a step towards sustained
quality of service
-Verify Application maintenance activities on daily basis.
-Maintaining the integrity and security of all IT Applications to ensure that access is
allowed for authorize users.
-Oversee the set-up, configuration, and maintenance of ESS, BSS & OSS applications and
database infrastructural and applications server.
-Responsible for ensuring the full security of IT applications and systems internally and
externally maintaining the 100% integrity throughout for the managed systems end to end
monitoring, operations and involvement in implementation & configuration of ESS, BSS,
OSS & Database Infrastructure.
-Governance the incidents by reviewing the RCA, actions taken, and map it to
corresponding KPIs.
-Calculate the SLA for BMC, SDM, QMS, email and any other tools.
-Verify data of report are accuracy.
