Position - Workshop Engineer

Diploma engineer with 10+ years or Graduate engineer with 7+ years exp. in Mechanical background

Scope of the Job
Responsible for all the activities regarding rewinding of motors and alternators Both LV and HV
Incharge of the workshop related operations of the generators, altenators and motors.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare Estimates for Sales Team with cost for each quote that is sent out.
Coordinate with Purchase to purchase material on time
Coordinate with Stores for Material and other requirment.
Coordinate with Purchase to purchase material on time
Coordinate with Purchase to purchase material on time
Responsible for keeping all machineries duly calibrated
responsible for indenting regular consumables
Create Jobs in SAP, update Workshop Job Master Sheet Daily and issue material to the each Job
Update Workshop Job Master Sheet Daily and issue material to the each Job
Issue material to the each Job
Supervise the jobs being carried out in the workshop.
Responsible for Testing of all Kind of work before and after the work.
Ensure work completed is in Compliance to certifications obtained for the processes.
Prepare and update the job statues reports and report to the respective Line Manager
Handle the Technical issues for the customers / Technical Support to sales team
Responsible for trouble shouting in case of issues from the Client side
Responsible for raising invoice on client
Responsible for circulating MIS on workshop performance

Position: Workshop Manager


Minimum 3 4 years experience in Fabrication and Vehicle modifications
Preferably from Automobile Industry
Mandatory requirement for this position - thorough knowledge and experience in
Auto-CAD
Solid Works

Job Responsibilities
Design and implement raw material storage layout to support company growth and reduce costs.
Create production schedules, work instructions & operating procedures for the various departments.
Certify quality ofproduction& assembled products
Prepare and control the costs incurred in the project like temporary facilities and other expenses.
Monitor daily inventory of all materials including parts, welding supplies and gases to ensure that there are no down time or delays .
Monitor all employees for proper safety practices.
Review time sheets and work schedules.
.
Monitor the work-force, equipments and paperwork to make sure procedures are being followed. Perform inspections of fit up and welds. Counsel employees and do follow ups as needed to include verbal and written warnings.
Exposure to project management from end to end
Inspection and quality control activities of all types of mechanical structural works.
Controlling the welding of joints according to isometric drawings and checking diameter, thickness, drawing number & class in welding progress report.
Monitoring the project drawing.
Monitoring of various welding process like GTAW, SMAW, GMAW.
Control of welding joint design and symbols in AutoCAD 3D & 2D
Preparation of various types of Quality Control Reports

Salary & Benefits

Up to RO500/- + Accommodation - Qualified Engineer with relevant experience
Up to RO350/- + Accommodation Diploma holder with relevant experience
