Our client is a five-decade old mid-size business group based at Mauritius whose business is the manufacturing and retailing of garments for the local and international market. They employ 220 + employees with expatriates primarily from India and other south Asian countries. To support their ambitious growth plans they require dynamic professionals from the textile / garment industries to partner with them
Role & responsibilities
- The incumbent would be responsible for all aspects of HR, Administration and Facilities management in a factory setting of 200+ employees
- Handle processing of job applications, work permits and social welfare schemes with local govt authorities
- Communicate company policies, procedures and changes to all factory staff and workers and ensure compliance.
- Oversee employee relations including staff welfare, medical checkups, travel arrangements, events, etc
- Monitor and coordinate the monthly payroll processing of the company including Full and Final settlement.
- Identify training needs and conduct training for various junior factory personnel with the help of Line Managers
- Manage administrative functions including records management, correspondence and reporting
- Responsible for maintaining the AMCs, repairs and upgrades if required, for all factory equipment.
- Analyse cost, identify areas for reduction and implement cost saving measures
- Conduct meetings, different drills and ensure compliance with company safety protocol.
- Timely handle the renewal of expatriate visas and other statutory legal documents and contracts.
Preferred candidate profile
Applicants should be aged below 35 years, ideally with at least 3 years work experience in the HR & Administration function in a factory environment of a mid size company.
