The Opportunity :
 
  • The appointee will teach degree level courses across the finance curriculum, preferably in two of the following areas of corporate finance, small business finance, international finance, financial risk management or portfolio and investment management
  • The appointee will also be expected to contribute to teaching through the distance education mode at other University Campuses within the Pacific Islands.
  • The appointee will also be expected to contribute to the School's postgraduate programs, including masters and PhD supervision.
  • The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
The Person We Seek;The successful applicant must have:
  • A PhD in the area of expertise from a leading university
  • Demonstrate active interest in research work
  • Good relevant tertiary (normally an aggregate of 4 years) teaching experience
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in distance education and/or web-based teaching.
For appointment at Senior Lecturer level, applicants must have significant (normally 10 years) tertiary teaching experience. The level of appointment will depend on qualifications and experience.

Remuneration:

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range:


Lecturer: F$59 813 to F$78 700 per annum
Senior Lecturer: F$81 145 to F$93 629 per annum
Assoc. Professor: F$99 311 to F$111 726 per annum
(Inclusive of 15% Gratuity)
