Lead Piping Engineer

Minimum 15 years of Design Engineering experience (piping Layout) in oil and gas / petrochemical project is required and out of which at least 3 yours should be in Lead role.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Piping Group Manager, you will be responsible in managing day-to-day activities of the piping group, assigning engineering support to different projects, & review/monitor piping design executions.
Core Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility.
  • Responsible for the overall execution and control on projects.
  • Responsible for reporting, controlling and monitoring the job execution.
  • Organize and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of piping discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
  • Assign persons for each project.
  • Provide manning schedule for piping group and monitor periodically
  • Ensure recognized engineering practices applicable to piping design.
  • Provide technical support to engineers and designers for the “know how” of Piping design.
  • Lead all piping engineering related design review meetings.
  • Monitor and review design change.
  • Conduct training and orientation for engineers and designers regarding various Piping design activities in accordance with Department Training Plan.
  • Maintain, control and monitor Quality Assurance System based on ISO 9001:2000 Quality System.
  • Attend all QA Audit for the concerned project.
  • Assists Engineering Division Manager about the department operation when required.
  • Ensure that project executions are in accordance with the Information Security Management System (ISO 27001) requirements
  • Approve corrective actions for CAR (Corrective Action Request).
  • Control and monitor engineering progress.
  • Contribute/monitor/control Lessons Learned (LL)
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary/technical qualifications in Mechanical engineering discipline are essential.
  • Knowledge of Engineering design codes, Specifications and latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software is essential.
  • Knowledge and know-how of piping design software
Experience & Technical Competencies:
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad experience in Oil & Gas Brownfield andGreenfieldfacilities, preferably with EPCM contractors.Middle Eastexperience on similar projects would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects.
  • Have handled various projects as a Lead Engineer, and/or Manager.
  • Proven ability to influence and mentor others in safety principles and behaviours.
  • Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regard to continuous improvement.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
Salary: 8000 - 9000 USD + Living allowance

Compressor Specialist


  1. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred Master in Mechanical Engineering especially in turbo-machineries) from a reputed University.
  2. Minimum 12 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Industry which must include EPC / EPCM experience of at least Two (2) major centrifugal process compressors with Gas Turbine Drive, Gas Turbine driven generator, Integrally geared compressor, Reciprocating Compressor, Large Centrifugal Pumps, Reciprocating Pumps, PD Pumps and other rotating equipment.
  3. Must have sound knowledge on Anti-surge and Dry gas seal systems.
  4. Should have worked at least on one of these OEMs Centrifugal Compressors Siemens, GE, Mitsubishi or ManTurbo.
  5. Must have experience in Feasibility Study, Pre-FEED and FEED projects.
  6. Shall be able to prepare Selection and Sizing report for Compressors and other rotating equipment, mechanical datasheets, material requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluation report, etc.
  7. Shall be able to review and approve Vendor Data and drawings, evaluate change order’s extra claims from vendors and take decision on those, can dispose of vendor’s non-conformances and punch items.
  8. Shall be able to participate in Vendor KOM, PIM, FAT, SAT and expediting and demonstrate leadership.
  9. Shall assist Construction and commissioning team with engineering support.
  10. Should have worked for reputed EPC / EPCM organization / Operating Companies.
  11. Must possess thorough knowledge on relevant API / International codes and standards, various consultant specs etc.
  12. Knowledge of Shell DEPs is advantages.
  13. Must have strong interpersonal skill to effectively coordinate with various internal and external agencies including CLIENT.
  14. Should take full responsibility as a Package Engineer of Compressor.
  15. Should have Oversees experience.
  16. Should be able to train and develop young engineers.
  17. Shall assist the Project Lead and take leadership on selected projects.
  18. Prepares SOW, Work Demarcation Table, Schedule and Man hour Estimation.
  19. Prepares Individual Design Plan for the scope of Mechanical Team with the aid of Lead Mechanical Engineer.
  20. Supervise Rotating Equipment Engineers and Designers in project execution in line with Quality and Schedule Requirements.
  21. Prepare Check and Review Engineering Deliverables.
  22. Attend QA Audit for concerned projects.
  23. Prepare CAR (Corrective Action Request) when needed.
  24. Contribute in Lessons Learned and coach young engineers to apply it on ongoing projects.
  25. Monitor and Control Design Change.
  26. Maintains, Controls and Monitor Mechanical Quality Assurance base on CAEL quality system.
  27. Implementation and control of ISMS as per CAEL information Security Manual.

Senior Electrical Engineer


Purpose:
Reporting to the Group Leader Electrical, you will be responsible for providing engineering support ensuring safe, cost effective designs are being produced for project delivery.
Core Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility.
  • Assist the Electrical Group Leader in the management of Electrical Group’s day to day activities / deliverables.
  • Prepare Scope of Work (SOW), Work Demarcation Table, Work Schedule and Man-hour Estimation for the above mentioned purpose.
  • Coordinate the development of the design of individual RFS and Work Order including support to home office such as providing additional local information and data.
  • Prepare the execution plan for electrical design and engineering with the Electrical Group Leader.
  • Supervise the Electrical Engineer, Junior Electrical Engineer and Designer for executing the above mentioned activities to implement without fail in terms of quality and schedule.
  • Check and review engineering deliverables.
  • Prepares critical engineering deliverables.
  • Prepare Individual Design Plan at start of project.
  • Attend QA Audit for concerned projects.
  • Provide Procurement Plan.
  • Prepare corrective action for CAR (Corrective Action Request).
  • Contribute LL (Lessons Learned).
  • Responsible for execution of project (schedule & quality of design).
  • Work execution based on PEP and IDP.
  • Monitor and control design change, and prepare the report.
  • Maintain, control and monitor Electrical Quality Assurance System based on CAEL quality system.
  • Implementation, monitoring and control of ISMS as per CAEL Information Security Manual.
  • Report ISMS violations to Electrical Group Leader.
  • Reports project engineering progress, participate in meetings with Client, Subcobtractor and Vendor.
  • Support project controls, procurement, project and construction management teams on engineering issues for assigned projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree/technical qualifications in Electrical engineering discipline are essential.
  • Knowledge and specifications of latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software is essential.
  • Registered Engineer with valid Professional certification is preferable.
Experience & Technical Competencies:
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad experience in Oil & Gas or Poqer & Energy Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPCM contractors. Middle East experience on similar projects would be an advantage.
