- Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Prepare design calculations in compliance with project specifications, standards and design codes.
Optimise designs to minimise overall cost of companys products
Actively progressing and managing assigned tasks from conception to completion
Check and approve drawings, documents, reports and calculations to ensure they meet required
standards
Ensure fabrication drawings are technically accurate
Ensure that fabrication drawings clearly present information to the shop floor
Address technical enquiries and comments from clients and inspectors
Provide technical guidance to the proposals team
Provide and maintain an engineering library with codes, standards and design guides
To maintain an engineering software library
Identify and facilitate technical training for staff
Review vendor designs and documentation.
Structural Design Engineer is technically responsible for all structural aspects of package design within the organization.
Have thorough knowledge in International Codes and Standards
