•  Experienced, result driven, assertive CTO with leadership qualities who can functio in a dynamic, competitive
    environment. This C level position will directly report to the Group CEO

  • The CTOs primary responsibility is contributing to the strategic direction of the company by identifying the rolethat specific technologies will play in its future growth.
  • The CTO looks for contributions that technology can make to the competitive advantage of the company.
  • CTO will be responsible for the day to day Network and IT operations of the company with a focus on restructuring of the company to achieve business results and to ensure that customer experience at all touch points is superior.
  • The successful candidate should also drive the company's ongoing programs that help in cost rescaling and utilizing existing resources effectively.
  • Lead the Technology of Engineering and IT functions in a cost effective manner
  • Identify Opportunities and Risk in Business in driving Technology strategies
  • Contribute in Service Delivery and Support in a highly customer oriented manner
  • Contribute in Product Development efficiently in introducing new Product and Service
  • Communicate the Technology strategy to partners, management and employees.
  • Maintain current information about technology standards and Compliance Regulations
  • Setting up a performance management culture across the organization

  • Masters Degree in Electronic/Telecommunication or other relevant qualifications. MBA would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry with atleast 6 years in a similar position.
  • Excellent business skills and commercial acumen.
  • Clearly translate and communicate information and concepts surrounding IT Network & Telecommunication
  • services between and across different groups and levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to manage key business and stakeholders relationships.
  • High exposure to Fixed Line business (end to end) and its convergence with Mobile and other areas like IPTV.
  • Hands on experience and expert knowledge in IT (Billing, CRM, ERP etc), Product Development and Engineering (convergence of IT and Engineering).
  • Managing different teams simultaneously, IT, Product Development, Engineering.
  •  Vision for Next Generation Network and ability to formulate a strategy roadmap understanding unique situation of TFL and Fiji environment. Utilization of existing resources is utmost important.
  • Ability to forge alliances with external parties. Example: outsourcing IT functions, revenue share arrangements with Cloud Service Providers.
  • Ability to negotiate with external parties to optimize cost. Example: negotiating Annual Maintenance Cost of IT and Engineering vendors.
  • Training and up skilling existing Fijian staff and succession planning (this is a 2-3 year contract, not a permanent position).
