Responsibilities 

    Determines technical feasibility by evaluating requirements and analysis as well as proposed solutions
    Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming
    Enhances existing solutions to match client requirements by configuring and customizing software using the following programming languages: Java/C++/C, JavaScript, SQL, XML, 
    Tests and approves software solutions, configurations and customizations
    Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
    Utilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
    Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
    Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
    Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems
    Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers
    Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on some design aspects
    Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing technical solutions in a timely fashion
    Review product and/or application information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy
    Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, clear code and comments

    Qualifications 

    BEng (Hons) Computer Engineering
    6 years of experience and exposure implementing or supporting complex business critical database intensive applications in both the Telecoms and Finance Industries.
    3 years of experience with Actimize, Providing Implementation and consultancy skills on-site at some of the SAs leading financial institutions. Working primarily Anti-Money Laundering products
    Technology Skills: Oracle 9i, 10g & 11g,SQL querying / SQL+ / TOAD, Installation on Windows & Linux, Performance Tuning, RAC, PL/SQL, Server 2003 / XP / Vista, MSSQL 2008, Software Installation/Maintenance, Administration, BASH, PERL, JAVA: File Handling, OCI/JDBC, Sockets, Multi-Threading
    Databases: SQL or Data Warehousing, ETL, OLAP
    Operating systems: Windows and Linux
    Programming language: Java, JSP, C, C++, VB, Javascript
    Web Technologies: HTML, XML, XSL
    Excellent communication skills
    Excellent written and spoken English
    Pro-active and Team Oriented approach
    BS degree in Computer Science or related field
    Travel required up to 25-50% 

    Experience

    5+ years experience with a Software Company or in a consulting role
    Actimize( SAM) implementation or up-gradation experience is a must

    Roles 

    System Administrator 
    Install, configure, tune and benchmark the NICE-Actimize products in development, test and production environments
    Configure NICE-Actimize Intelligent Server (AIS) and NICE-Actimize Risk Case Manager (RCM)
    Install and configure supporting database repositories
    Define and implement Backup / Recovery plans, if needed

    Developer 
    Implement the NICE-Actimize solution design specifications
    Execute unit and system testing
    Be the first line of support in technical troubleshooting
    Implement user interface customizations
    Install and configure NICE-Actimize models, and apply updates and patches
    Deploy all interfaces to external systems
    Assist in the resolution of software issues with NICE-Actimize support and client resources
    Create operational scripts and documentation as needed for environment management
    Implement/Upgrade SAM and UDM
