Head Cashier
    Position Summary

    The primary responsibilities of the Head Cashier position are to maintain helpful customer service, assist in daily operations at the checkouts and customer service areas, maximize sales and productivity on the sales floor, and resolve situations to the satisfaction of the customer. 
    Hierarchical position
    The Head Cashier reports to the Store Manager

    Major Responsibilities

    The major responsibilities for this position include:
    Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the sales process and by mystery shop standards 
    Greet customers as they enter the store 
    Troubleshoot point of sale problems 
    Effectively train and direct the activities of cashier assigned to the front end and set the standard for customer service
    Ensure that associates assigned to the front-end consistently follow all policies and procedures including established safety procedures; communicates issues to management 
    Perform cash pulls, make change orders and deposits in accordance with established policies 
    Ensure that merchandise displays in the checkouts area re clean, organized and well-stocked 
    Ensure return merchandise is restocked to the correct product location on the sales floor, all damaged and defective merchandise is properly labeled 
    Answer phone calls 
    Able to tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers 
    Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements 
    Perform register sales transaction quickly and accurately in accordance with established cash control procedures and customer service guidelines 
    Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management 
    Solicit customers to open an Attken Privilege account
    Provide input into customers service decisions to the store manager 
    Issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers 

    Minimum Requirements

    The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
    Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred 
    Prior experience managing associates and handling cash, preferably in a retail environment (Min.8 Yrs of Exp.)
    A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction 
    Skills/Knowledge: Ability to take leadership role in training and coaching team members on skills needed to positively impact sales
    Ability to communicate with associates and customers 
    Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn 
    Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word, and Excel a plus 
    Exceptional organizational ability, extreme attention to detail, and ability to multi-task 
    Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business 

    Physical Requirements

    The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
    Ability to stand for an extended period of time 
    Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth

        Major Responsibilities

        The major responsibilities for this position include:
        Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the sales process and by mystery shop standards 
        Greet customers as they enter the store 
        Answer phone calls 
        Tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers 
        Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements 
        Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers 
        Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked 
        Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management 
        Solicit customers to open an a Attken privilege Account
        Provide fast, enjoyable and accurate check out experiences to each and every customers.
        Issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers 
        Minimum Requirements

        The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
        Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred 
        Experience in a retail environment either in cashier, sales, or back office (Min.4 Yrs of Exp.)

        Skills/Knowledge: Ability to process information and/or merchandise through register system 
        Ability to communicate with associates and customers 
        Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn 
        Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word, and Excel a plus 
        Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task 
        Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
